Ogie Alcasid says he now plays a girl character more frequently than a guy character. "Everyday, I’m Angelina in ‘Hole in The Wall’tapos, sa two movies ko, ‘Oh My Girl’ with Judy Ann Santos and ‘Spoiled Brat,’ girl din ang role ko," he says. "Nadadala na ako ng pagka-girl ko at mahipan lang ako ng hangin, feel ko magiging girl na po talaga ako. Nakakatulog na nga ako ng naka-bra."

So what happens to Regine Velasquez if he’d become a girl?

"Boy naman ako kapag nagkikita kami sa ‘SOP.’ So every Sunday, boy ako. Pero aliw na aliw siya kapag naka-girl ako. She sang the theme song of ‘OMG’ which I wrote, ‘Walang Iba.’ ‘Yun ang tulong niya sa amin ni Juday rito."

He came in his role as Frieda in the presscon of "Oh My Girl" that opens on July 29. Frieda is reminiscent of Dustin Hoffman in "Tootsie" and Robin Williams in "Mrs. Doubtfire." "Juday and I grew up in an orphanage. Kilala ko siya as Opao kasi mukha siyang siopao. We got separated kasi inampon siya ni Carmi Martin and groomed her to be a superstar sa showbiz. Ako naman, inampon ni Roderick Paulate. Nang makita ko siya uli, si Darling na siya, but she doesn’t know me. Para mapalapit sa kanya, nagkunwari akong may edad na babae with a Batanguena accent para maging alalay niya."

If ever he’d be a woman in real life, who’d be the ideal man?

"Sa sex appeal, I like Janno Gibbs kasi lagi siyang late. Sa kaguwapuhan at ganda ng katawan, si Derek Ramsay.Pero kung sa mapapangasawa, gusto ko si Michael V. kasi napakabait niya sa family niya."

The GMA Pinoy TV event at the Toronto Convention Center in Canada last Saturday was a huge success with 10,000 people attending to see Richard Gutierrez, Rhian Ramos and Iza Calzado in person. But Richard got sick while he was there. He was not able to attend the presscon on Friday afternoon as he had fever and just rested in his hotel room. "We left Manila on Thursday and got there Friday," he says. "The trip was 18 hours and very tiring. Masama na ang pakiramdam ko."

He was taken to the hospital that night and doctors gave him medicines to help improve his condition. He felt better the next day and was able to attend the show proper. It’s good he was able to make it or his fans, who came from all over Canada and also the US, would have been terribly disappointed if he failed to show up. A lot of them came with special souvenirs and gifts for him. His twin brother Raymond who accompanied him helped host the show. Richard did a solo song number then had a duet with Rhian.

"Sayang nga, ni hindi kami nakapamasyal dahil nagkasakit ako and I just stayed in the hotel, but the trip is worth it dahil napasaya ko ang fans ng GMA doon who all watch ‘Zorro’ regularly," says Richard. "I want to thank those who came at lahat ng mga nag-asikaso sa amin. GMA is surely gaining more subscribers abroad."

Richard had to take the Sunday flight back to Manila so he can tape anew for "Zorro" but Raymond decided to prolong his stay so he can see more of Toronto and flew back to Manila yesterday.

This week in "Zorro," Ramon (TJ Trinidad) insists to Gov. Aragon (Eddie Gutierrez) that Antonio and Zorro are one and the same. The governor wants proof.

Bella (Maureen Larrazabal) is accused by Ramon as a spy of Zorro and threatens to kill her. Don Roberto (Joel Torre) sees old letters of wife Chiquita (Jaclyn Jose) to prove her infidelity and show that Ramon is really her son.

Don Carlos (Leo Martinez) and his wife Donya Catalino (Pinky Marquez) nearly go insane because of grief. Lolita (Rhian Ramos) is mad at Antonio thinking he has something to do with the death of her dad, so Antonio gets drunk.

Silverio (Elvis Gutierrez) turns traitor against the caballeros and connives with Ramon. Lolita’s rich grandma, Donya Francisca, finds her and Donya Catalina and tells them will move to Spain.

What can Jennica Garcia say about the observation of some writers that she doesn’t have much chemistry with Dennis Trillo in "Adik Sa’Yo"?

"Honestly, I don’t feel yung sinasabi nilang hindi kami bagay," she says. "Kasi when people see me in public, laging hinahanap sa’kin si Ruben, the role of Dennis in the show. From the start, I felt maraming di magkakagusto but I only entertain positive things. GMA is giving me the chance na magbida rito, alangan namang ako pa tumanggi. And it’s working to my favor. Kasi dati, sa labas, people will say,‘Ay, anak ni Jean GarciaO kaya, nakadaan na ako, di pa nila masabi ang name ko at kung minsan, pangalan ng ibang artista ang nasasabi. But with ‘Adik Sa’Yo,’ mas nakilala ako sa Jennica. So it’s obvious na maraming nanonood nito. I really love my role here as Karen. Makulit siya, masayahin, pag may gusto, she’ll do everything para makuha. Ako yun. Ang difference namin is I don’t believe in soul mates like her at hindi ako ang manliligaw sa lalaki like what she’s doing to Dennis. Enjoy rin akong katrabaho si Dennis kasi mabait na siya, magaling pa. Riot ang pagiging Batangueno niya rito."

Does she have a conflict with Pauleen Luna who’s said to be the apple of Dennis’ eyes in real life?

"None. Magkasundo kami. Hindi mabubuo ang love triangle namin sa show kung wala si Pauleen. It’s nice to work with her kasi lagi kang busog. Lagi siyang maraming baong foodsa set in Batangas. Ang sarap niyang gumawa ng mango pie at ang dami niyang regalo sa’kin from Hello Kitty to make up remover. I love her kasi masarap siyang kakuwentuhan, sila ni Chariz Solomon."

What can she say that her ex-boyfriend Mart Escudero’s career suffered when they broke up? "Hindi naman siya nawawalan ng assignment sa GMA so that’s not true. But sana nga, mabigyan na siya ng bagong ka-love team."

And what can she say that she’s no. 43 in the FHM list of Sexiest Women?

"Naku, I want to thank those who voted for me but I really don’t know kung bakit ako napasali run, hindi naman ako nagpapa-sexy at all."

A lot of writers are praising Glaiza de Castro for her masterly portrayal of the villain role in "Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin," telling her she often eclipses her co-stars, including Maxene Magalona, but she’s humble enough not to claim all the credit.

"Maxene is good," she says. "It’s just that I play a very strong contravida character kaya ako napapansin. But Maxene and I support each other in our scenes together. Actually, nagagalit na nga sa’kin yung ibang fans niya sa pang-aaping ginagawa ko sa kanya."

Glaiza is also glad that she’s been tapped to play the young Eva Castillo in "SRO Cinemaserye Presents Eva Castillo Story">The Eva Castillo Story." "I cried when I read her life story.

Regine Velasquez was the special guest of DJ Mo in the Gimme Mo portion of "Showbiz Central" last Sunday. Mo’s first question: Nai-insecurepa ba ang isang Regine Velasquez?

"Lahat naman ng tao, nakakaramdam pa rin ng insecurity, and it helps to further improve one’s self. I still feel that but I deal with it."

But do you feel insecure pag may mga bagong singerna dumarating? "Hindi na. Wala na akong ‘ma-insecure because God has already blessed me tremendously. When new singers come along, I just feel happy for them."

Can she say she’s now the country’s best singer?

"I cannot say that I’m the best, but I’m okay."

When did you realize that you love Ogie Alcasid?

"Actually, hindi ko inexpect na mangyayari yun. For both of us, unexpected yun. We were really just friends. I’ve known him all my life. Mas nauna akong kumanta kaysa sa kanya. I remember we first met nang mag-front act siya kay Dingdong (Avanzado) and he told me, ‘Hi, I’m Ogie.’ Nag-group date kami pero hindi na naulit. Siguro nawirduhan siya sa akin. I never really thought we’d end up together."

Manny Valera’s DMV Entertainment has made two gay-themed indie films so far, "Walang Kawala" and "Heavenly Touch." Both did well at the box office and, on top of that, they’ve been sold in foreign markets for distribution in various countries, giving Manny more income. Because of the success of both films, he’s now producing his third movie, "I Luv Dream Guyz," once again directed by Joel Lamangan.

"This is the story of five dancers who are going to Japan," he says. "Leading the cast is Marco Morales, the ‘Frontal Nudity King’ who’s also in our first two films. Then is Joash Balejado who was introduced as the new masseur in ‘Heavenly Touch,’ followed by Sherwin Ordonez who’ll play a very dramatic role. We’re introducing two new actors we’ve just recruited from our auditions, Jay-L Dizon and Migui Valdez. Parehong good-looking at magaling sumayaw kaya tiyak na may bagong mamahalin ang mga bading. Sa story, some of the dancers will fall in love with each other kaya magkakaroon ng conflict."

When will they start shooting "I Luv Dream Guyz"?

"As soon as matapos ni Direk Joel ang ‘Sagrada Familia.’ You know, I’m really worried about him. Sobrang busy. May ‘Dukot’ pa siya tapos may ‘Adik Sa’Yo’ pa sa TV. Naatake na yan. Ayaw pa ring mag-slow down."
