The first-ever "Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards Philippines 2008" was successfully and glamorously welcomed by millions of Nicksters who slimed with them last Saturday, November 29.

The orange carpet was teeming with kids’ fave stars who paraded at the Aliw Theater in the Star City complex.

Fans of all ages gathered to support Nickelodeon’s first ever Kids’ Choice Awards in the Philippines.

The show started with a bang! Host Michael V. opened the show with a fabulous sing and dance number with children dancing to Apo Hiking Society’s "Ang Bawat Bata."

An ice cream cart served as the presenters’ table where stars announced and awarded the winners.

The first Blimp trophy went to Fave Male actor Dingdong Dantes, who received it from Richard Gomez and Maxene Magalona.

Pandemonium broke as Dingdong spoke his thanks for his first award ever. "I am used to awards night as presenter and thank you for your votes, I am now accepting now my very first award now."

The Fave Female award went to Kim Chiu, who was not present to accept her award. Bianca King, the presenter, accepted the trophy for her.

Makisig Morales shouted "Blentungan na!" to the appreciative crowd before he rendered his famous "Super Inggo" theme song. Slimesters slammed with him during the fun number.

Paolo Bediones and Jaya quizzed the audience on their Fave Show. GMA-7’s "Marimar" won with director Joyce Bernal going up the stage to accept the honor.

Director Joey Reyes and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasques gave the Kids’ Choice award to Fave Musical Actor Christian Bautista.

Melanie Marquez, Megan Young and Albert Martinez announced the Fave Cartoon Character awardee, SpongeBob SquarePants, to the delight of Nicksters young and old.

Chris Tiu got shrieks and cheers as he accepted his award as Fave Athlete. He shared his Blimp trophy with Manny Pacquiao, his co-host in GMA’s "Pinoy Records" and co-nominee.

Michael V. conducted the Burp Challenger afterwards. Nicksters applauded Moymoy, who bested three other contestants.

Then Michael called the former winners of "Pinoy Wannabe," Sam Concepcion and Kitchie Nadal to read the nominees for the category. But then Rufa Mae Quinto suddenly appeared on stage to claim the "honor." It was good her "Bubble Gang" co-star Michael V. was there to escort her off the stage. The audience had a laugh following Rufa’s antic.

This year’s real Wannabe winner was KC Concepcion, who performed "Umbrella" for the happy Nicksters who sang along.

Fireworks capped the very first ever Nickelodeon’s "Kids’ Choice Awards," but it was only the beginning for the other young ones who went gaga over the different games offered by some of the show’s sponsors, like Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs, Alaska Milk, FresHER Feminine Wash, Kellogg’s, and Ceelin.
