Osang makes movie comeback via 'Aurora'

Former sexy star Rosanna Roces is now back in showbiz through an independent film entitled "Aurora," directed by well-known director Adolfo Alix Jr.

In a message sent to ABS-CBNNEWS.com, director Alix Jr. shared that his latest film tells the story of Aurora, a woman who is kidnapped by members of the Lost Command.

After members of the military make a raid in the middle of the night, Aurora gets lost in the forest. She walks aimlessly in the forest, hoping to find her way out to freedom.

While trying to escape, Aurora is found by Fadi (Sid Lucero), one of her captors. Aurora tries all ways to escape. The movie centers on the question of her survival.

The film will have its premiere screening on November 25th at the U.P. Cine Adarna. A regular run for this indie film is still in the works.

Roces started her career in showbusiness as a sexy actress. Her last film, La Vida Rosa (2001) gave her the URIAN Best Actress award.

In "Aurora", she co-stars with Sid Lucero, who recently won the URIAN Best Actor for the movie "Selda. "Aurora" is an intimate portrait of a captor and a captive as they both struggle to survive in the depths of a jungle.

The film also stars Kristofer King as one of Roces' captors.
