Column: Entertainment MANILA - Daring sexy starlet Paloma said that she wants the bold movie trend to make a comeback in the local film industry.
In an interview at the premiere of her first star role in "Pitik Bulag", Paloma said she sees nothing wrong in playing sexy roles. "Pitik Bulag", starring Paloma and Marco Alcaraz, will hit theaters on July 1.
Dubbed as the "new sex goddess," Paloma even joked that she could be the poster child for future nude films. She clarified, however, that she wants to bring in a certain professionalism in sexy roles.
"Hindi ko naman sinasabi na (sisimulan ko uli ang) bold trend, pero trabaho ito. So, kung ano ang ibigay sa aking trabaho, depende sa istorya kung maganda (why not?). Hindi naman kailangan na malaswa, bakit sila Kate Winslet ginagawa din 'yon at si Angelina Jolie pero hindi naman sila sinasabing malaswa," Paloma said.
Paloma, described as a very independent and strong woman, said that if ever she would be offered nude roles, she would want to do sexy projects with Raymond Bagatsing and her showbiz crush, Dingdong Dantes.
Also known as a sex guru, Palamo answered issues comparing her to sexy actress Asia Agcaoili. Paloma said that she doesn't like being compared to Agcaoili since she has her own identity when it comes to dishing out sexy secrets.
"Siyempre ayaw kong nako-compare. Pero 'yon nga pinagbubutihan ko, kung ano ang binigay sa akin. 'Yong kay Asia din iba, iba din 'yong forte niya. Ako naman sa acting, siya naman sa events at pagsusulat," the newbie starlet said.
