Column: A Little Bit THE last quarter of 2009 marked a series of negative publicities for Richard Gutierrez ranging from a court case which stemmed from a bad write-up, a road mishap which resulted in the death of a male companion and a daring rescue which has been misconstrued as a gimmick to sell his latest movie, "Patient X. " Career-wise, the best thing that happened to Richard is to be handled again by Yam Laranas who gained international recognition via "The Echo. " With his Hollywood experience, the horror suspense thriller stands a good chance of "scaring" the worldwide market despite the mixed reactions from the audience who watched it during the premiere. After its Philippine release, Asian exhibition follows. It goes global next year and who knows, with the vampire movie mania worldwide, "Patient X" might become another "Twilight" in the making.
