Pilita's aphrodisiac

Author: Remy Umerez
Column: A Little Bit

IS there anything left to ask Pilita Corrales, Asia 's Queen of Songs?

"You could ask me whether these (pointing to her boobs) are real," she suggests.

Alright then, are they real?

"Of course, darling. They are indeed real. "

A big "no-no" is to inquire from a woman what her real age is. Will Miss Pilita dare tell the truth?

"A decade or so, I was 35. I stopped counting since then," she replied.

Pilita still looks glamorous and sexy. What then is her secret?

"Being in love all the time makes me sexy. Pero ang pinaka-sikreto is to find time to make love. "

And when she sings, she adds, "I do feel a lot younger. Singing is such a great passion which I will never abandon. It is an aphrodisiac. "

On a recent guesting, Pilita did a rousing rendition of "My Life Would Suck Without You," by American Idol Kelly Clarkson. She might just reprise the difficult number on November 13 when she joins Rico J. Puno at the Music Museum for the concert together entitled The Diva and the Debonair.

It will be the first major production of Twin Towers & Co and for the benefit of Philippine Green Building Council.

SOURCE OF FINEST MUSIC
FOR the longest time, 105. 1 Crossover has been the source of the finest music for the discriminating listener. Current and classic smooth jazz, R&B. Bossa Nova and New York chill make up the Crossover sound along with relevant international news direct from BBC London and other unique, interesting and informative segment and radio shows.

Crossover was responsible for bringing Polish singer Basia last weekend at the Big Dome. Basia is famous for her trademark Latin flavored jazz pop crossover songs in the 80s and 90s.

She sung cuts from her latest studio album, "It's That Girl Again. " It is said that each song in the album is a dedication to someone in her life although her narratives describe characters many can relate to.

WANTING OF CHANGE
Sharon Cuneta's show is turning up to be a mini "ASAP" what with all those musical numbers they offer every Sunday night. How we wish that they pattern it after Ellen Degeneres show where she features a little bit of everything ranging from mini interviews, games, inventors and surprise packages.

MILESTONE?
CONGRATS to Heart Evangelista for bagging the best actress trophy from an award-giving body laden with controversies. (FAMAS, right?--Ed. ) She won the award for her performance in an indie movie, Ay, Ayeng, which probably only a handful were able to watch.
