Piolo Pascual definitely enjoys his recent venture as a movie producer. His maiden offering "Manila" was shown at the recent Cannes Film Festival.

"It's a big honor. Cannes is a prestigious international film festival. I'm proud that we passed their standard. "Manila" was also invited at the Moscow International Film Festival. We also received eight more invitations. It's simply amazing," reveals the handsome actor.

His next offering is "Kimi Dora (Kambal sa Kiyeme)" that will launch character actress Eugene Domingo as a lead star. This is a comedy which also topbills matinee idol Dingdong Dantes. Many wonder why a comedy as a follow-up.

"Why not, I strongly believe in Eugene 's potential. There's Dingdong also so I'm sure it will be a blast. One more thing, as a producer, I need to be versatile. It's my goal to come up with different genres as much as possible. Balance is the key. "

With his experience now, Piolo understands the difficulties of being a producer.

"I'm learning a lot of insights especially that Direk Joyce (Bernal) is there to explain everything that I need to know. She's my director in "Kimi Dora. " I'm grateful for all the things that she has already shared with me," he admits.

How about directing in the future?

"I don't see myself entering that field soon. I still enjoy acting in front of the cameras and producing from time to time. It's a delicate assignment. "

"I asked permission to court her but I'm still waiting for her reply until now. Perhaps, she's just busy. Sharon Cuneta has already accepted Regal Entertainment's offer to star in the sixth installment of their "Mano Po" series.
