Sarah Geronimo casually mentioned Gerald Anderson when asked who she’d like to be paired with next after John Lloyd Cruz. Because of that, there’s a deluge of hate mail from the fans of the Gerald-Kim Chiu love team denouncing her, calling her "malandi," among other things, for allegedly wanting to destroy the "Kimerald" tandem.

"Ayoko na lang sagutin ‘yan," Sarah, who’s turning 21 on July 25, said at the opening last Saturday of Unica Hija’s store at the 2nd floor of SM Fairview Annex 1 of which she’s the endorser. "Basta tinanong lang ako, sinagot ko. I didn’t know why such overreaction."

"Huwag na lang patulan ‘yan," said someone in Sarah’s management team. "The fans of John Lloyd’s team with Bea Alonzo also threatened then that they will boycott his movie with Sarah, but it turned out both movies they made became blockbusters. So hayaan na lang nating magsawa yung mga walang magawa kundi manira. Ni wala pa ngang definite project for Sarah and Gerald, sobrang violent na sila."

We got to SM Fairview at 2 p.m. and Sarah’s fans started waiting for her the moment the mall opened at 10 a.m. It was raining hard but that didn’t deter them from wanting to see Sarah in person. Many bought items at Unica Hija just to have the chance to have a photo op with her. But isn’t Sarah with Bench?

"Her contract with them expired last January," says Unica Hija owners Leo and Anna Lagon of LC Star Power Ventures. "We got her in February. We want her as she’s so wholesome, has good values, and as you can see, sobrang dami ng fans niya kaya she’s ideal in creating brand awareness. Sarah is the perfect choice as people have witnessed her evolution as a fashion icon. Bagay na bagay talaga sa kanya ang outfitsnamin. We supply her new clothes every month.

"Her mommy, Divine, does the choosing for her. This is our 43rd outlet and we plan to expand our chain of stores in the next three years with three more stand-alone stores and in 10 department stores and major malls throughout the country."

"I really like their clothes kasi they have unique and different designs, with chic accessories," says Sarah. "They have top quality ready-to-wear apparel with great fabrics."

Unica Hija is open for franchising, just call Michelle Diaz at 374-6866 or you can visit them at unicahija.com.ph. The public should also watch out for an exclusive line of Unica Hija that will bear the stamp of Sarah Geronimo.

She also wants to thank PBO for paying tribute to her with back-to-back specials on all Saturdays of July with "Sarah Mania" exclusively on PBO. Piolo Pascual is complaining about his financial headaches in producing the twin bill "Manila," but looks like he’s not daunted as he’s now bankrolling Eugene Domingo’s launching flick "Kimmy Dora, Kambal sa Kiyeme," then he also intends to produce a local version of "Ocean’s 11" with an all-male cast that includes him in the George Clooney role, plus John Lloyd Cruz, Luis Manzano, Vhong Navarro and Billy Crawford. Of course, we won’t be surprised if he’d also include his best friends and church mates Sam Milby, Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista and Erik Santos.

In "Manila," Piolo has plenty of co-stars like Rosanna Roces, William Martinez, Angelica Panganiban, Alex de Rossi, Jay Manalo, Aleck Bovick, Katherine Luna, and many more. He says even if "Manila" is an indie film, he paid them their usual talent fees, except for Angelica who returned her check. "Sabi niya, tulong na lang daw niya sa’kin yun," he says. "That was a big blessing for us and I’d like to thank Angelica for her generosity. Dito sa ‘Kimmy Dora,’ marami ring nag-cameo role, pero hindi na sila nagpabayad, like Regine Velasquez kasi she wants to help Uge na personal friend niya. Thank you rin sa kanila."

How are his two directors in "Manila," Adolfo Alix and Raya Martin? "They have different styles. Adolf is more commercial. Mas masusundan at maiintindihan mo siya. Mas malapit sa orientation ko. Raya studied in France so radical ang shots niya. How you act, bahala ka na. He’s more foucsed sa shots niya. But both of them were able to achieve their goals as a filmmaker in giving a new interpretation sa films nina Lino Brocka and Ishmael Bernal."

How did new sexpot Paloma Esmeria feel when her performance in "Pitik Bulag," which got an A rating, elicited a lot of praise?

"I really want to thank all those who liked my acting considering it’s just my first movie," she says. "Mabuti naman at nagustuhan nila ang performance ko. But when I saw myself sa nude scenes ko with my boobs na parang ang laki-laki sa big screen, ngiii! I had mixed feelings na natutuwa akong excited na nahihiya ako kasi ang laki-laki."

What if she’d ask to do full frontal nudity next time, would she do it? "I can’t say. I’m willing to do it pero depende siguro sascript. Kasi si Kate Winslet, nag-frontal sa ‘The Reader,’ hindi naman malaswa, nanalo pa siya ng Oscar best actress award. Kung ganun kaganda, I’ll do it."

What’s her next project?

"My manager, Arnold Vegafria, told me I’d sign a contract with Regal, para daw sa remake ng ‘Temptation Island.’ Sa GMA-7, after ‘Zorro,’ may next project daw ako. I just don’t know if it’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ ni Dingdong Dantes or ‘Full House’ ni Richard Gutierrez. Sa coming book na ‘FHM Ladies Confession,’ I’m on the cover. Tinalbugan ko ‘yung pose ni Aubrey Miles. Siya, may drawing pang kamay sa boobs, ako wala. Basta hubad kung hubad. Jewelry lang ang suot ko."

She’s now the endorser of Robust Tablets Dietary Supplement for Men that will give them sexual virility and stamina from ATC Healthcare. Why did they get Paloma as their model?

"Look at her, so beautiful and sexy," says operations manager Vic Octaviano. "She definitely has the X factor with her combination of beauty and brains."

"She’s the epitome of today’s modern woman who is not embarrassed to express herself and ask for what she wants," says ATC president Albert Chua. "As FHM sex columnist, she knows what she needs from her partners."

"And what I need is a man who is capable of satisfying me in bed all night," Paloma says impishly. "Sabi nila, a good man is hard to find. But for me, a hard man is good to find. Perfect ang Robust, lalo sa mga hirap tigasan. I gave it to my male friends at aprubado nila. Ang maganda, herbal siya kaya perfectly safe, no bad side effects asl it uses natural extracts from plants like horny goat weed, ginseng, ginko biloba, angelica root, dansheng root and other ingredients for greater potency."

Robust is available at leading drugstores or you can text their hotline at 0909-333-333 or email atchealthcare@yahoo.com.ph.

Manilyn Reynes is so busy these days. She plays Kris Bernal’s aunt in "All My Life" and now she’s also Eva Castillo at her present age in SRO Cinemaserye Presents "Eva Castillo Story">The Eva Castillo Story" that starts airing tomorrow night. She’s also in the Regal movie "Oh My Girl."

"I’m glad to be chosen to play Eva kasi ang ganda ng story niya," she says. "Naiyak nga ako when I heard as it will surely inspire a lot of people for them to know na hindi sila dapat nawawalan ng pag-asa sa buhay. I can relate to her story dahil before I came to Manila, sali rin ako ng sali sa amateur contests."

How come there’s a report that Juday and Ogie got mad at her at the shooting of "OMG" as she was allegedly the COD (cause of delay) on the set?

"Actually, dalawang versions ‘yan. Yung isa, sabi, ako raw at si Roderick Paulate ang nagalit kay Juday kasi siya ang nagpahintay sa amin sa shooting. I just want to make it clear nanever akong naging COD sa shooting at wala sa reputasyon ko ang pagiging unprofessional. Ako pa! At maging si Juday, neverkaming pinaghintay. Once, noong inayos ang buhok niya, we waited for her, pero hindi naman matagal yun at naayos din agad. Ewan ko kung bakit ginagawan kami ng intriga, okay na okay nga kami sa shooting at masaya kaming buong cast sa set."

Manny Pacquiao’s Mommy Dionisia is truly making the most of her bout with fame. She was grilled by the hosts of "Showbiz Central" in the Intriga Crossfire segment last Sunday. She’s not that articulate but viewers must have learned to take her for what she is. Even host Pia Guanio humored her and said she’s star-struck with Mommy Dionisia. Did she really have a relationship with a dance instructor? "Hindi. Nainggit lang sa’kin dahil nakita nila kong sikat. Intriga lang. Gawa-gawa lang dahil sikat na ko."

Will she pursue a showbiz career?

"Ballroom dancing pa lang, ang dami ng naiinggit, di lalo na pag pumasok pa ako sa showbiz. Tinanggihan ko na ang pag-aartista kasi lahat ng mga anak ko, ayaw. Hanggang guesting na lang ako."

She said she didn’t want Manny to go into politics, but he just confirmed that he’s really running for public office.

"Wala akong magawa kasi yan ang habit ng anak ko. Mawawala na raw kasi siya sa boxing, gusto niyang makatulong sa lahat ng tao. May nag-aalok din sa’kin na friends ko, tumakbo ka, kagawad o kapitan. pero ayoko. Masaya na ko sa buhay ko."

Comedians Ariel and Maverick took the lie detector test simultaneously in the Don’t Lie to Me portion. Their dormant careers are being revived by GMA-7 with them joining Mike Enriquez in the new late Sunday night show, "Gusto Kong Maging Pangulo," about the coming election. Is it true they were once rivals in wooing Rufa Mae Quinto?

Ariel said yes and Maverick said no. It turned Ariel is lying and Maverick is telling the truth.

Do you every get insecure with one another?

Again, Ariel said yes and Maverick said no, and once more, Ariel is lying and Maverick is telling the truth.

Is it true you once had a fight but eventually reconciled? Are you sincere sa pagbabati nyo or nagpaplastikan lang kayo? They both said yes and this time, they’re both telling the truth.

Host John Lapus failed to ask them whatever happened to that movie they plugged them with a kilometric title that they’re supposed to shoot in the States. Has it been scrapped or just temporarily shelved?
