Precious Lara Quigaman says all is well after the 'Wowowee' incident

Author: Nap Quintos

Precious Lara Quigaman made headlines last year when she was fired as Wowowee co-host. The Miss International 2005 beauty was in tears during her interview on The Buzz where she talked about how her violation of a house rule angered host Willie Revillame which lead to her dismissal from the top-rating noontime show.

But all has been forgotten and hopefully forgiven since Lara was all smiles when ABS-CBN.com interviewed her at the story conference of the upcoming teleserye. The beauty queen-actress said that she and Willie have put the whole incident behind them. "I was expecting na talaga na tatanggalin ako so nung tinanggal ako okay lang. I didn't really mind because I knew God has better plans for me. Pero may mga lumabas kasi na tsismis na kesyo parati daw akong late. I was never late. Nagdala daw ako ng boyfriend sa studio. I know na bawal magdala ng boys sa studio, kahit brother ko ngang maliit hindi ko dinadala. Ang daming negative rumors na lumabas so I felt na I had to protect my career. Kung sinisiraan ako I have to defend myself. Kung nagbebenta ka ng water at sabihin ng iba na madumi 'yung water, dapat mong i-defend na, 'Sorry, hindi madumi ang water namin.'"

Lara made a surprising appearance on Wowowee last November 2008 to promote Turismo Pilipina, a new beauty pageant that she organized. With her appearance on the show, Lara and Willie showed that they have buried the hatchet. Willie even offered Lara a chance to return on the show. "He asked me to go back. Sabi niya, ' Babalik ka na ba sa Monday?' Kaya lang gustuhin ko man hindi na pwede kasi may mga naka-plano nang projects for me. I cannot just leave those eh."

After playing Aga Muhlach's love interest in the sitcom That's My Doc, Lara will make her dramatic debut in the upcoming teleserye. While she's trying out something new, Lara said that she's not closing her doors on becoming a guest host in Wowowee because she also misses former co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, RR Enriquez, and Pokwang. "We're okay. We still text a lot. Nakaka-miss 'yung samahan namin. Kami kasi noon sa Wowowee kainan talaga kami. Pagdating namin kamit lahat may dalang sari-sariling food like bangus, adobo, whatever."
