Pregnancy no reason for Camille to get married

AT last, after many weeks of speculation, Camille Prats (who's now in Los Angeles) has admitted that she is indeed pregnant.

It came as a shock to the whole Prats family, especially her mom, but now they have to terms with fate. “Nandiyan na 'yan, tanggapin na lang,” a source was quoted as saying.

In fact, the family now considers Camille's baby a blessing.

For sure, the baby wasn't planned. But Camille wasn't so innocent when she did it with her businessman-boyfriend (only 26 years old). Our source said the guy is willing to marry Camille anytime she wishes to, but she'd rather stay a single mom until they're both emotionally ready.

When Camille returns to the Philippines (with the baby), she wants to resume her showbiz career. Her bf is said to be very supportive of her plans, although financially-wise, he is stable. His family likewise favors a union, but it is still Camille (and her family) who will decide on what to do next with their life and the baby.

Some people are saying now that it's really hard to judge a book by its cover. Between Camille and Angelica Panganiban, they were saying that the former was the most unlikely to get pregnant (or get married) first. Angelica looks more daring and temptation was most likely as close to her skin.

Oh, well.

SWEET SEPTEMBER FOR BACKROOM ARTISTS
Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai de las Alas remains committed as a Kapamilya. She is slated to start a new teleserye in her home studio. She was last seen in Super Inggo. On the movie front, Ai Ai is reunited with her Tanging Ina director, Wenn Deramas in a movie produced by Octo Arts titled Pasukob which she co-stars with Rufa Mae Quinto. Middle of this year, Ai Ai became the newest celebrity to join the soap commercial bandwagon. She endorses Zonrox Detergent. She is scheduled to do a Zonrox tour starting in Davao, September 8, Cagayan de Oro, September 15, Naga, September 23, Dagupan, September 29 and Baguio September 30.

A concert tour in the USA is also in the offing: October 5 at the Sycuan Casino, and with Ogie Alcasid for Love to Laugh concert starting October 7 in Alaska, October 12 in San Diego and October 14 Arizona.

Fans can't get enough of the Prince of Pop Erik Santos. Erik is one of the most requested artists among the Filipino communities in the USA. Last week, he had just come from the US. He will be back again as part of the US concert tour of Sarah Geronimo. The US concert tour billed Sarah in Motion will see Erik performing in Jacksonville, Florida on September 7, Washington DC September 8, Chicago Illinois September 14 and New York, New York September 15.

When he comes back from the US, Erik will have a mall show for BPI at SM Bacolod on September 22 and SM Marilao on October 13. He is also set to do a major concert on October 19 at the Arena Coliseum. A three time platinum winner for the albums, Star in a Million, This is the Moment, Loving You Now and Your Love, Erik's new single titled Parting Ways is now enjoying heavy airplay on the radio.

Young television hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Biana Gonzalez and Drew Arellano still lord it over on TV. Livewire Mariel is seen on Wowowee and Entertainment Live. She resumes her role as the nosy Kapitbahay ni Kuya when Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Season 2 goes on air in October. Mariel received favorable feedback for her acting in the Your Song episode opposite Luis Manzano. She is also taping a special role in the teleserye Kung Fu Kids. A movie is scheduled to go into production before the year ends. Bianca co-hosts with Mariel in Entertainment Live and PBB Celebrity Edition Season 2. She is also in Y Speak and Cinema 1. Drew has Unang hirit, Balikbayan and Ride to Fame.

Amy Perez and Angelika de la Cruz are busy with TV shows. Angelika is doing Komiks:Pedro Penduko (Engkantao) and is about to start a new drama series with Kristine Hermosa. Amy hosts Kabuhayan Swak na Swak and is part of the Kim Chiu -Gerald Anderson movie for Star Cinema titled I've Fallen For You directed by Lino Cayetano.

Kim Flores and Calvin Millado perform in the spectacular production of Wanders at Pagcor Casino in Paranaque. Prince of Acoustic Nyoy Volante, the newest addition to Backroom's stable of talents has opened a music school called HEROES. Dominique Ochoa and Ariel Rivera who have shown their versatility as actors in different teleseryes, are busy with corporate shows. Dawn Zulueta endorses Meg, Myra E, PhCare, Marie France, Gain Plus and Johnsons and Johnsons. Gretchen Barretto shines as Plains and Prints model.

Pooh, the newest comedy sensation heads for the USA to do a series of shows: Chicago on November 2, San Francisco on November 3 and San Diego on November 4. Also known as Manny Paquiao's impersonator, Pooh is part of the comedy series John and Shirley and the TV drama Pangarap Na Bituin. Pooh, together with singer comedienne K Brosas is scheduled to hold a special show at Ratsky Tomas Morato. On November 17, he joins Rufa Mae Quinto at Metro Bar. Rufa Mae showcases her versatility as a performer in SOP, Showbiz Central and Bubble Gang.
