PRINCESS SARAH' RETURNS - Roll out the red carpet and make way for "Princess Sarah." Yes, the much loved cartoon princess of ABS-CBN, later made into a movie by Star Cinema, is back starting tonight as a teledrama, with Sharlene San Pedro in the title role.

Sharlene is Sarah Crewe who studies in a boarding school for rich girls. Although motherless, Sarah is rich in love showered by her father, Capt. Crewe, portrayed by Albert Martinez. But one day her father has to leave for an expedition... and is lost and presumed dead.

The sufferings of Sarah begin, the heretofore princess-like child works as a maid in the boarding school headed by the cruel Ms. Minchin, played by Sheryl Cruz. But with her pure heart and kindness, Sarah emerges not only as the princess of diamonds, but princess of hearts, as well.

EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT - It'll be recalled that the film version of "Princess Sarah" starred Camille Prats in the title role, with Jean Garcia as Ms. Minchin and Ronaldo Valdez as Capt. Crewe. The movie was a spinoff of the hugely successful animated series, which is also the basis of the teledrama which premieres tonight on ABS-CBN, after "TV Patrol World."

"Princess Sarah," directed by Don Cuaresma and Nuel Naval, is the Kapamilya network's early Christmas gift to the whole family, especially children who long for wholesome entertainment.

SUPPORTING CAST - Aside from Sheryl Cruz and Albert Martinez, a strong supporting cast is featured in "Princess Sarah."

They are: Ai-Ai delas Alas, Diether Ocampo, Matt Evans, Melissa Ricks, Jaime Fabregas, Candy Pangilinan, Carlos Agassi, Lui Villaruz, Bubbles Paraiso, Irish Fullerton, Helga Krapf, Franz Bonnin, Lou Veloso, Lasy Marquez, Lauren Novero, Eunice "Charming" Lagusad, Angel Sy, Khaycee Aboloc, Noemi Oineza, Sophia Baars, Julijo Pisk, Andrew Muhlach, Divine Loraine Peñaflor, Bianca Pulmano.

Miss International 2005 has a special participation in "Princess Sarah."

DIET-BUBBLES - Diether and Bubbles (younger sister of Paolo Paraiso) are said to be an item. Does it mean Diet has moved on - after that short-lived marriage to Kristine Hermosa?

Bubbles' manager, Becky Aguila, says she doubts if the romance is true. But then, at times, the manager is the last to know.

Becky's also the manager of child star "Charming" of GMA's "Bakekang" fame. She's now with ABS-CBN, where (according to talent coordinator and part-time actress Aida Espiritu) Charming started.

By the way, bright kid Andrew is the half-brother of Aga Muchlach. And it's good to know that nice guy Carlos Agassi's acting again.
