Cai will play Patty, a chubby young girl who has been dealing with issues about her physical appearance and will eventually find herself in a life-changing situation. According to the program's producers, Cai was a perfect fit for the role. Rez Cortez was at the Pat is Tin story conference held at Congo Grille, Tomas Morato to show his support for his daughter's first showbiz project. The veteran actor said that he has given his daughter all the pointers he can as she enters the industry. " Siyempre dapat ma-discover din niya sa sarili niya. Hindi lang yun sa acting but yung so many things behind being an actress kasi may mga emotional investments, meron kang dapat bantayan, and you have to be aware na dapat you make the line between Cai Cortez the actress and Cai Cortez as a person." Rez was asked whether he pressured about his daughter's role as a character of less than perfect proportions. " Yun nga eh, papausuhin nga niya yung chubby eh. Kasi kahit ako mahilig ako sa chubby, ang seksi sa akin yung chubby," he jokingly said. He added that a person's value is beyond physical appearance. Rez also had a few words of encouragement for his daughter. " Dapat hindi siya mawala sa mundo, hindi rin siya dapat maligaw at dapat grounded siya palagi. Alam ko kaya niya." Pat is Tin also stars Valerie Concepcion, Jon Avila, Wendy Valdez, Carmi Martin, Joross Gamboa, Kaye Brosas, and more. The show is scheduled to begin shooting during the fourth week of July.
