Rhian Ramos now a grown-up woman

Red Roses and Chocolate Kissesthat is the theme of the glitzy debut of GMAs up-and-coming princess Rhian Ramos.

Elegant swaths of white, black and red decorated the Rigodon Ballroom of The Peninsula Manila when the young woman was officially welcomed by the society as a full adult on Oct. 3. There were Rhians family and friends who gathered to celebrate the special occasion.

Rhian entered the ballroom in a dramatic way wearing a gown created for her by Ramon Sabella. Following her were the men of GMA Network Inc., and with Marvin Agustin as the evenings host.

Yes, 18 red roses, something familiar to debut party guests, were there as well, given to the debutante by 18 young men.

Garett Howell, her father, flew in from Dubai just to attend his daughters birthday, and dance with her. He was her first dance. The waltz then continued with co-stars and friends including Richard Gomez, Mark Herras, Dominic Roco, Paolo Paraiso, Mike Tan, Victor Aliwalas, Aljur Abrenica, Jay Tablante, Lawrence Gutierrez, Simon Atkins, Mart Escudero, and director Mark Reyes, among others.

Her last dance was the sweetestand it was with JC de Vera, her escort and leading man in the top-rating series LaLola.

With JC by her side, Rhian answered 18 questions from family and friends. She did pass the test. Now, she is a full-grown, independent-minded woman.

GMA officers led by senior vice president for entertainment Wilma Galvante were also present to give Rhian their best wishes. GMA Films president Annette Gozon Abrogar led the ceremonial toast for the debutant.

Four new MYX VJs

Last week at the Trinoma, MYX chose four new VJs to join their growing roster of video jocks.

Robi Domingo, Chino Lui Pio, Bianca Roque, and Monica Yncierto.

We are familiar with Robi Domingo as one of the popular Pinoy Big Brother teens. He was the first one called by the emcee.

Not only did Chino Lui Pio appear in Hales video Kahit Pa, but he is actually Hales biggest fan being the younger brother of Champ, the lead singer.

Monica Yncierto is currently a radio DJ. Having wanted to audition in MYX for the past three years, Monica is pretty lucky to have been chosen.

Bianca Roque is one of the few who actually did research on YouTube, observed VJs to get an idea on how to host and googled songs and artists on her free time. Whats more amazing is that Bianca admits that she has the biggest camera/stage fright but she figured that she should just face her fears.

The four bested eight others during the search, which combined actual judging of their skills and text votes.

Good luck guys, because I dont know very many who started in MYX who really made it big in the industry.
