AT the "Divas4Divas" presscon, Regine Velasquez says she didn’t feel out of place when she accompanied boyfriend Ogie Alcasid and kids Leila and Sara in Hong Kong Disneyland. "Their mom, Michelle, and boyfriend Mark Murrow were with us at naging okay naman ang bonding naming lahat," she says. "Sabay-sabay kaming nag-shopping at namasyal. Thrilled talaga ang dalawang bagets na dinala sila ng papa nila sa Disneyland kasi first time nila makarating dun."

What can she say to her detractors it’s not nice for her to have joined them as it’s a family affair?

"Alam ko, may mga nagsasabing hindi maganda tingnan at parang sabit lang daw ako kasi lakad ng family nila ‘yun. But I guess you just can’t really please everyone dahil may mga nagsasabi naman sa akin na natutuwa sila to see na maganda ang samahan namin ni Ogie at ng mga anak niya, even si Michelle. Magkakaibigan naman kaming lahatand, honestly, I see nothing wrong with that. Now, kung ‘yun mismong mga bata ang magsasabi na ayaw nila akong kasama, then I won’t go. But even when I visit them in Australia, we all get along fine kaya wala akong nakikitang problema. We really enjoy each other’s company. Now, if it’s a problem for some people, opinion na nila ‘yun at wala akong magagawa. Bahala na sila sa gusto nilang isipin. All I can say is maaaring para sa kanila, parang hindi normal ito, pero nangyayari naman po talaga ang ganito and all of us are really okay. They’re going back to Sydney next week at kami naman ang dadalaw sa kanila ni Ogie roon, and sina Michelle atMark naman ang mag-aasikaso sa’min."

What can she say about Michelle’s statement that she’s hoping Ogie will get to marry her someday?

"She didn’t tell it to me mismo but I was told she said on TV and I’m flattered naman that it came from her. I’ll be honestna gusto ko rin naman mangyari ‘yun balang araw, but like what we say ni Ogie, we must wait muna at hindi dapat minamadali ‘yan. We’re taking our time to make sure we won’t make any wrong moves in the future."

Have Dingdong Dantes and Karylle really broken up? A lot of people think so as it’s so easy to say no if they’re still really on, but they choose to keep quiet. Even Zsa Zsa Padilla, when asked about it at the "Divas 4 Divas" presscon, all she’d say is, "Sila na lang mismo ang tanungin nyo."

When some writers were invited to the last taping day of Dingdong Dantes at Danarra Hotel for "Dyesebel," which is ending next week, everyone was warned not to ask him anything about it and when someone still dared to ask that dreaded question, Dingdong chose not to answer. All he said is he just wants to thank everyone who supported "Dyesebel" during its seven-month run.

"Basta huwag lang po kayong bibitaw sa last few daysng ‘Dyesebel’ as it becomes even more exciting," he adds.

The last few episodes of "Dyesebel" will see Fredo (Dingdong) journeying to the bottom of the sea to look for Sirenea where Dyesebel (Marian Rivera) has been elected as the new Queen. As the Queen, Dyesebel is supposed to choose a partner who will help her lead the underwater kingdom and Erebus (Alfred Vargas) is chosen to be her King. A grand wedding is planned for them, but Dyesebel remains very lonely. Meantime, the giant clam where Dyangga (Mylene Dizon) is buried slowly opens. Could it be that Dyangga is still alive?

Valerie Concepcion’s career is really on a roll. On TV, she’s seen daily in "Wowowee" and starting tonight, she’s also in "Banana Split" every Saturday. She’s in a new movie, "One Night Only," a Metro filmfest entry where she acts with Diana Zubiri and Jon Avila. She’s also doing one endorsement after another, the latest being Energo Energy Drink for people who need an extra energy boost to make them always on the go.

"I thank God for all the blessings," she beams. "Alam siguro niyang nag-iipon talaga ako ng pera so I can buy for my family our own house and lot, preferably near ABS para hindi na ako mahirapan mag-reportsa studio. I recommend Energo sa mga tulad kong nagpupuyat sa taping as it really keeps you going all night long."

The second of four kids, Valerie thought her career has ended when she got pregnant at 16. Her love child, Fiona, will now turn 4 on October 25. "Ang bilis nga, 4 na agad siya. And I’m thankful nakabawi ako sa career at tinanggap uli ako ng tao."

How’s her relationship with her daughter’s dad, Jeremy Carag?

"He left me when I was four months pregnant at hindi na uli nagpakita sa akin. Hindi na ako galit sa kanya, kahit never siyang nagbigay ng support sa anak namin. But at that time, I kept on hopingbabalik pa siya sa akin, lalo na after I gave birth to our child, kasifirst love ko talaga siya. He was introduced to me by his cousin, the late Miko Sotto. But eventually, I got to accept na wala na siya and I’ve since moved on."

What if he returns now?

"What for? Napatunayan ko nang kaya kong buhayin ang anak ko kahit mag-isa ako. ‘Di na siya kailangan."

Is it true she said she has a big crush on singer Richard Poon?

"No. Nagkasama lang kami sa isang show and I said I love his voice. Kasi ang sarap naman talagang pakinggan when he’s singing. After that, nasulat ng crush ko siya. I have two regular dates now, one is Dondon, a San Miguel player, and another is a Pinoy businessman based in Australia na regular akong tine-text. But I’m not committed to any of them."

How come she was absent at the big presscon of "Banana Split"? Is it because she has a solo presscon for Energo?

"No. Nataon, first shooting day ko noon sa ‘One Night Only.’ Na-miss ko nga sina Angelica Panganiban that night.Wala kaming gap, we all get along fine sa show."

The original title of Sam Milby’s Aliw Theater concert on October 25, Saturday, is "I Am Sam," but is it true they had to change it as no less than Sean Penn complained as that is the title of his Oscar-nominated movie where he played a retardate?

So now, the title has been changed to "Sam Milby: Rockoustic Heartthrob."

At its presscon at ABS-CBN, Sam came with his guitar to accompany himself in some song numbers but he failed to do so as his voice was not in the right condition since he just came from an all-night taping of "Dyosa" with squeeze Anne Curtis and had very little sleep. Still, he sang accompanied by minus one and says he’ll make sure he’s fully rested on the night of his first solo concert.

He’ll be singing his fave pop, rock and R&B songs, plus the love songs he’d sing to his special guest, who else but Anne. He’s also excited to a duet with rocker Arnel Pineda who’s now the vocalist of the famous American band, Journey. He’ll also do a dance number with the Dynamite Dance Crew. Other guests are Yeng Constantino, Pokwang, and G Force with Georcelle Dapat as choreographed, directed by Johnny Manahan. All in all, he’ll be singing 44 songs, most of them in medleys.

"Singing is really my first love," he says. "When I came here, I didn’t know that I’d also get to act, and now I’m enjoying both singing and acting immensely. I’ve just finished my first indie film, ‘Cul de Sac,’ which is not the usual pa-cute romances I’ve done and where I play a very demanding role as a mysterious man with a shady past. It’s a dark character and I even get to do some action scenes. I’m also making a new movie for Star Cinema with Bea Alonzo which is more of drama and we’ll play mature characters."

What do folks say about his demon character with horns in "Dyosa"?

"They say, ang pangit mo! But I’m enjoying playing that role at hindi naman ako magiging laging ganun sa show. Ngayon, I seldom put on the horns na."

If he didn’t hit it big in showbiz after he joined PBB, what would he be now?

"I’ll probably be back in the States finishing college. I want to take up psychology."

Why is he holding his show in Aliw and not in a bigger venue like the Big Dome?

"It’s my first solo so I want to connect with the audience. Aliw is more intimate, I can go down the stage and be with them, kaysa ‘yungbigger venue agad."

Tickets ranging from P630 to P1,995 are now available at Ticketnet: 911-5555.

Hosting a game show is one of the things in Richard Gomez’ "to do" list, and he’s glad he’s finally given a chance by GMA-7 to be a host in "Family Feud," which is directly up against Kris Aquino’s toprated "Kapamilya: Deal or No Deal." Does he know how Kris feels about it?

"She’s a long-time friend and very close sila ng wifekong si Lucy kaya friendly competition lang ito," he says. "They just had dinner ni Lucy last Friday at sumunod ako sa kanila and we were kidding each other na magkalaban ang shows namin. I admit na mahirap na kalaban ang show niya kasi established na sila in that slot before the evening newscast at may loyal followersna siya. But we’re trying our best na mapaganda rin ang aming show and be more appealing to viewers so we can also rate well. Ever since, favoriteko talagang game show itong ‘Family Feud’ and I’m glad sa’kin napunta ang pagho-host nito. When I auditioned for it, hindi ko inakalang ako ang makukuha kasi ang dami namin. Isa pa, nag-audition din si Ogie Alcasid na naging host na nito before in another channel, kaya akala ko, lamang na siya. But I’m told it’s the mother company mismo, Fremantle, who chose me to be the host of the show so now I’m doing my best para hindi ako mapahiya sa kanila."

So now, Goma will be shown twice on primetime: first in "Family Feud" and later in "Codename:Asero" where he plays a dual role as Ibsen-Zeus. In the show’s presscon, two sets of movie writers were pitted against each other in a test broadcast: Lolit Solis, Shirley Pizarro, Bot Glorioso and Jerry Olea versus Jun Nardo, Gie Trillana, Butch Roldan and Marinel Cruz. The group of Lolit won. We heard that Kris’ "Kapamilya Deal or No Deal" won’t take the entry of a new rival sitting down and they’ve also prepared a formidable lineup of guest contestants, led by no less than KC Concepcion who’s just back in town from Europe.

Mother Lily Monteverdegave a blow out for the big success of "Mag-ingat Ka sa Kulam" at the box office. It earned P40 million in its first week and it’s still raking in that they expect to have a full one-month run especially now that the other horror movie, "Sundo," will no longer be shown in October. This is not surprising as it’s really scary, even more so than the Hollywood horror flick that opened simultaneously with it, "Mirrors," where Kiefer Sutherland played an idiotic security guard who keeps on returning to this old building even if he already knew that it’s haunted.

"Aaabot siguro ang ‘Kulam’ hanggang sa Halloween dahil may legs talaga siya sa takilya due to positive word of mouth endorsement," says Roselle Monteverde, who came to the party in a figure-hugging gym getup as she’s competing in the Slimmer’s World dance contest. "Because of this, naging big success ang 48th anniversaryng Regal. After this, we’re releasing APT’s ‘Scaregivers’ with Iza Calzado, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Contis."

The stars of "Kulam," Judy Ann Santos, Dennis Trillo, Mart Escudero and Kris Bernal, also came to the blow out. Only TJ Trinidad was missing. Dennis was asked about what he can say now that his ex-girlfriend, Carlene Aguilar, has a new boyfriend named Yo Ocampo?

"I’m happy for them pero ayoko ng magsalita about them kasi buhay nila yun at wala akong karapatang manghimasok," he says.
