MANILA - A film about the life of actor Robin Padilla, known as the bad boy of the Philippine movies, will hit theaters soon.

Titled "Paano Ginawa Ang Isang Robin Padilla," it will chronicle the struggles of the action star when he was just starting in show business. It will also feature his life after he made it big in the industry.

Padilla said initially he thought the project would be about the life of director Deo Fajardo, his mentor. He said he was later told that the film would be about his life story.

Padilla told "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon:" "Okay naman. Nakita ko ang script, pero gusto kong makita ang finish product. Mahirap na baka mga kalokohan natin nailagay doon at hindi iyong mabuti nating ginawa."

Two years ago, Padilla, a Muslim convert, founded Paaralan ng Liwanag ng Kapayapaan in Fairview in Quezon City.

Last April, its graduates were reportedly composed of children of laundry women, maids, drivers and sari-sari-store-owners from depressed areas in Payatas, Commonwealth, Novaliches, West Fairview and North Fairview.

The Philippine Star's Ricky Lo wrote that the school shoulders the scholars' tuition, the percentage of which depends on the child's level of academic excellence.

Lo said those who have higher grades are full scholars and those with average grades are partial scholars who pay very minimal fees. The parents have the option to render service to the school as their share in keeping their children in the school, according to Lo.

To set a good example to the students, meanwhile, Padilla recently took a class to enhance his proficiency in English language. He recently took an English diagnostic test.

"Dapat makita na ang namumuno ay interesado na mag-aral din," Padilla said. -ABS-CBNNEWS.com. With a report from Ricky Lo, The Philippine Star
