Ronaldo provides action, Tessie delivers punchlines

Ronaldo and Tessie play war-ring siblings in the sitcom, with him providing the action (read body language) and her deli-vering the punchlines. Tele-viewers lap up their antics. "Ba-hay Mo Ba To?" has yet to slide down in the ratings the past year. It airs every Tuesday night.

Tessie says Ronaldo never runs out of jokes on the set, an incurable clown if there was one. There was this scene where Tessie was supposed to pull away the towel wrapped around Ronaldos waist. He asked Tessie that they rehearse the scene and so they did the amusement (excitement?) of Tessie et al. They all had a full view of Ronaldos naked back-side.

Yes, Ronaldo pulled one of his many practical jokes. "Moon-ing," it is called.

OTHER TANDEMS

Keempee de Leon (playing a gay fashionista) and sex symbol Francine Prieto as lovers of sorts, lead the other riotous tandems on "BMBT." Odd but endearing.

Then theres the hilarious husband-wife pairing of Wen-dell Ramos and Gladys Reyes, the erstwhile drama actor-sexy dreamboat and villainess hamming it up. And how about Sherilyn Reyes and Pekto amusing televiewers with their speaking voice and accent which are neither here nor there?

Joining the "BMBT" fun gang are Sunshine Dizon, Dino Guevarra, Tiya Pusit, Carlito Campos, and Starstruck kids Gabriel and Bea.

Their characters and relationships have made "BMBT" not just a typical sitcom, but a show close to Filipino sensibility.

TALK SHOW FOR TEYSI

But back to Tessie Tomas, or Teysi as she used to be known when she hosted the ABS-CBN daily morning show "Teysi ng Tahanan." Then she was the undisputed First Lady of Philippine Television. She was also a regular in a sitcom and drama shows in the Kapamilya channel.

While she missed her Teysi years, she has adjusted to having a more leisurely pace on TV with the Kapuso network. Now she has more time with British husband Roger Pullin, a noted marine biologist. They take vacations abroad and share more often intimate dinners. "Im Teysi by day and Mrs. Pullin by night."

Theres a big chance she might host a talk show on GMA one of these days. "But itll be a weekly program."

Teysis followers will be looking forward to that.
