| | Ruffa Gutierrez: 'I don't even know how to cook' Author: Trina Lagura Column: Entertainment "The Buzz" host Ruffa Gutierrez on Saturday denied reports that she is leaving the show business talk show to do a cooking program. Gutierrez laughingly pointed out that she doesn't even know how to cook. Gutierrez was quoted during a press conference for her new movie "Desperadas 2," an official entry to the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival, as saying that she wished she was hosting a lifestyle or cooking program. "Nasabi ko yon kasi akala nila, dahil host ako ng The Buzz, alam ko na lahat ng tsismis sa buong showbiz," she said. She cited The Buzz's controversial interview with Karylle last Sunday. She said everybody was asking her if Marian Rivera, her co-star in Desperadas 2, was indeed pregnant after Karylle's appearance on the show. "As if naman I'm Dingdong [Dantes], di ba? Malay ko ba. Sabi ko, 'hindi ko rin ho alam. Kung anong napanood niyo, 'yon din ang alam ko,'" the outspoken actress said, referring to Karylle's former boyfriend who is now being romantically linked to Rivera. There were also other instances when people would ask her to confirm the rumors involving other actresses, including her co-host in The Buzz, Kris Aquino, she said. "Ang sabi ko, 'host lang ako hindi naman ako nagre-research ng mga tsismis. Naku, next time magho-host na lang ako ng cooking show. Siyempre ek-ek (gay language for joke) lang 'yon. Hindi naman ako marunong mag-luto," she said. She said she loves hosting The Buzz and she intends to stay in the show for many years. She, meanwhile, denied the alleged rift between her and Aquino after reports about the latter's alleged attempt to steal the spotlight from her had surfaced. She also pointed out the viewers should understand that she and Aquino have different personalities and hosting styles. As for her rumored Chinese admirer, Gutierrez said: "Wala talaga kasi I'm really so busy. For me talaga work muna." Entertainment Live Source: ABS-CBN News |
