HOW nice na makita at makasalamuhang muli ang dating sexy at napakaganda star na si Cristina Gonzales. Known as Kring Kring among showbiz folks close to her (like us, ahem), Kring Kring made a splash with her daring roles in films mostly produced by Seiko Films.

After all, Kring Kring belongs, wika nga, to showbiz royalty as his dad, former Sampaguita Pictures contract star Jomari Gonzales, was one of the biggest matinee idols in his time.

Kring Kring's mom, the former and beautiful Charito Malarky belongs to a moneyed family.

Later, as we all know, Jomari became a congressman ng Mandaluyong City.

Actually, 'di lang si Kring Kring ang, wika nga, among her siblings who followed their dad's footsteps.

Her younger sister, actually, her only sister, Annamarie Gonzales (four lang sila sa family) also became an artista. She started bilang miyembro ng youth program on GMA 7 That's Entertainment produced and hosted by German Moreno.

Like Kring Kring, Annamarie also became a Seiko star, who became the favorite leading lady ni Jestoni Alarcon.

Later, na-link sila sa isa't isa. But we all know that they didn't end up together. But while Jestoni is still married to his wife, Liz, Annamarie's marriage to a non-showbiz guy didn't prosper.

Sadly, too, their break-up was well-publicized. Lalo na ang may kinalaman sa custody ng kanilang anak.

But everything has been ironed out na raw, ayon kay Kring Kring. Ewan kung na-annulled na ang kanilang marriage.

On the contrary, Kring Kring's marriage to a nephew of former First Lady Imelda Marcos, Alfred Romualdez, now Mayor of Tacloban City appear not only intact but almost perfect one. In fact, the two look it. They are a picture of two beautiful couple - inside and out.

They are parents to two beautiful daughters, Sofia, 11 and Diana, 9.

They now reside in Tacloban City, where Kring Kring also serves as a councilor.

When they go to Manila, which is very seldom, they stay at their equally beautiful house in Forbes Park, Makati.

When finally, Tacloban City celebrated its 120th year fiesta in honor of their Patron Saint, the Sto. Niño de Tacloban, the city held its 2nd Sangyaw Festival.

Considered the first and only festival of the region, it was Madame Imelda Marcos who started the festivity in 1974. Her purpose was to showcase the region's cultural heritage, foremost of which is the different religious practices that honors the Sto. Niño.

"Actually, I only revived it two years ago," said the handsome Tacloban Mayor Alfred.

Other prominent and political figures present ay sina Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, Senator Manny Villar, Former Congresswoman Imee Marcos, former Congressman and tv host Gilbert Remulla, Pampanga Ex-Representative Rempee Bonotoc, Isabela Santiago City Mayor Emma Navarro and, of course, Mrs. Marcos, who to this day remains Leyte's pride.

Movie celebrities who lent joy to the festivity included Dingdong Dantes, Karylle, Lucky Manzano and Christian Bautista.

One of Sangyaw's highlights was the presentation of the Sangyaw Achievement Awards to outstanding Leyteños and Samareños who excelled in their chosen field.
Familiar names in the field of entertainment who received their awards included Aster Amoyo, Boy Abunda? Ricky Lo and Kim Chiu.

Mayor Alfred, with his wife, Councilor Kring and Atty. Santiago handed their plaque of recognition to the awardees.

This actress obviously doesn't really believe in marriage. Do you know na bago siya nagkaanak ng dalawa (yes, dalawa at parehong boys) sa ama ng kanyang mga anak, nakipag-live-in din siya sa kanyang naging boyfriend, a commercial model-turned-businessman for five years?

BF no. 1 married a beauty queen. At nagkaanak din sila.

They are now reportedly kaput, dahil mukha yatang gustong magbuhay-binata muli ng lalaki.

The actress is reportedly planning to sue her husband for child support. Meanwhile, she is back to work sa showbiz.

She herself, by the way, was linked to a very popular former child actor.
