| Sex video rocks PBB2Author: Mario E. Bautista WHATEVER happened to the case filed against Baywalk Bodies by ex-Mayor Lito Atienza? "Wala na, kasi wala na rin si Mayor," says their manager Lito de Guzman at the launching of their album, "The Very Best of Baywalk Bodies. How come we haven't heard of them much lately? "They did shows in Singapore, Australia at hanggang ngayon, 'yung iba, nandun pa, so I'm introducing a new batch to promote this album at much in demand sila ngayon to perform in various casinos. This time, ang market namin, mga bagets, with the carrier single, 'Appear Disappear', composed by former child actor Chuckie Dreyfus. " The Baywalk Bodies is now composed of Michaela Espinosa, Camay Cojuangco, Jeanette Joaquin, Clarisse Mercado, Dove de Vera, Rejoice Rivera, Kissa Kurdi, Wella Williams, Zest Zuniga, Lyna Leviste, Annalyn Abad, Pantene Palanca (replacing Pantene Palomino who got married) and Palmolive Palma, who claims she did a sex video with PBB Celebrity Edition's Will Devaughn. Palmolive is still in Australia so we can't ask her personally if this were true. But the other Baywalk beauties confirm that they have seen the video and it's really Will who's in it. They add that it's not Palmolive who circulated it but someone who stole her cellphone. "Walang balak si Palmolive na ikalat 'yun," they insist. "Nag-meet lang sila ni Will sa Embassy, but they're not really on. " So we just have to wait for Palmolive to return to shed more light about this. About their album, it has 12 titillating cuts and the other naughty songs are "Bibingka," "Kilig," "Lollipop" and "Bombera". Their PR, Roldan Castro, also told us that another PBB2 housemate, Jen de Silva, is their talent and she joined PBB2 without asking their permission at all. They're now asking their lawyers what could be done about it. STAR MAGIC HOSTS LUNCH FOR OCTOBER CELEBRANTS CARLENE IN MANILA, SECRETS REVEALED HALLOWEEN: FOR THOSE WHO LOVE GORE AND VIOLENCE The 2007 version has the same story as the original but it's updated to establish Michael's psychological background. The prologue then was set in the 60s; now, it's in the 90s. It ran then for about ten minutes. This time, more back story is given so it runs for about 45 minutes, reducing the length of the major bulk of the movie, which is Halloween night in the town of Haddonfield. The new movie starts with 10-year old Michael Myers (Daeg Faerch) wearing a clown mask and stroking a rodent he calls Pretty Elvis. Moments later, we see him in the toilet washing blood off his hands. He then goes to his white trash family downtairs to tell them that his pet rat has died. The prologue tells mainly about what happened to Michael during one Halloween in the mid-90s which is a summary of what he experienced as a child. In the course of one day, he is berated and threatened by his mom's live in boyfriend Ronnie (William Forsythe), snubbed by his sex-crazed older sister and oppressed by his bullying classmates. The only positive thing in Michael's life are his mother Deborah (Sheri Moon Zombie) and baby sister Boo. His mom is a stripper and is foolish when it comes to men, but she really loves him and tries to be a good mom to him. But the negative influences of his dysfunctional family in his life are far more numerous than the positive ones, so it's obvious that Michael is a candidate to be a crazed killer like those murderers who shot at the their schoolmates in Columbine and Virginia Tech. When their school administrator sees photos of mutilated animals in Michael's bag, a doctor, Sam Loomis (Malcolm McDowell, played originally by Donald Pleasance), is called in and this somehow triggers Michael's descent to being a full psychotic killer. He beats one of the kids who bullies him to death and later that evening, after going trick or treat, he also kills his family in grisly ways. He stabs Ronnie with a kitchen knife, batters her older sister's boyfriend with a baseball bat, and also stabs his sister. His mom isn't home so she survives along with his baby sister, Boo or Laurie. He gets convicted of these crimes and placed under Dr. Loomis' care. Just when he seems to be recovering, he sees an old picture of Boo and kills again. These attempts at explaining Michael's behavior manages to be touching, but the part set in the present becomes a mere abbreviated rehash of the 1978 flick. Michael, now an adult and played by wrestler Tyler Mane, escapes from the mental asylum and becomes a mad slasher who wreaks havoc on his hometown while Dr. Loomis chases him. His sister Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis in the original, now played by newcomer Scout Taylor Compton) and her best friend, Annie (Danielle Harris), are both babysitting that night. Since Laurie has no boyfriend, Annie leaves her ward to Laurie so she can spend time with her own beau. This is when things turn ugly as Michael shows up. The violence, which is brutal and pervasive, will be enjoyed by those who like a lot of blood in the horror films they see. One irritating thing here is the shaky camera that just can't keep still and even goes out of focus that it might give you a headache. Come to think of it, the original is much better in implying Michael Myers as nothing but a mysterious personification of evil as an unstoppable and unfeeling klling machine. As an abused child, we actually even sympathize with him and we really want him to get even with the school bully, his mom's drunken lover and heartless sister. Humanizing him ruins the original terrifying effect of unexplained evil that we somehow know really exists out there. The last half of the remake will be helped by your knowledged of what transpired in the original, like the setup of a sexy night planned by teen girls that can confuse you if you're not really familiar with the story. But even for those who haven't seen the first movie, Myer's brutality will be enough to hold their attention as this Myers in his most frightening as wrestler Tyler Mane projects this screen monster with much authority that nothing can stop him in his rampage, not even fences, walls, window, doors or even bullets as he bashes his way through everything like a runaway train who'll smash anyone that dares cross his path. Now that this horror icon has been revived, we have no doubt we'll see him in more sequels soon, to be followed by Jason and Freddy Kruger. This is definitely only for those who love gore and violence. Source: People's Journal |
