Hold your collective breaths as HBO Asia expands its stable of series to bring you an exciting mix of provocative and much-talked about series coming to HBO, HBO+Signature/noticias/" title="HBO Signature">HBO Signature and CINEMAX in 2009.

Year 2009 is especially exciting with the introduction of HBO’s fresh, new materials to complement your TV viewing experience. In addition to the latest seasons of your favorite series "Entourage," "Big Love," "The Tudors" and "Flight of the Conchords," viewers can also look forward to the premieres of "True Blood," "Generation Kill," "Head Case" and "Mumbai Calling."

Here are its new series:

"True Blood," the newest hit from HBO, shows how vampires have integrated themselves among humans. In the not-too-distant future, vampires have come out of the coffin. Thanks to a Japanese scientist’s invention of mass-produced synthetic blood, these oft-maligned creatures have become fellow citizens overnight. A sexy, scary, wildly entertaining new drama series from "Six Feet Under" creator Alan Ball, "True Blood" mixes romance, suspense, mystery, and humor.

Set in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the series features Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a perky waitress with telepathic gifts who knows how it feels to be an outcast and her irresistible attraction to a vampire named Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).

Based on Evan Wright’s acclaimed 2004 non-fiction book of the same name, "Generation Kill" is a seven-part miniseries about the first 40 days of the Iraq war, a.k.a. "Operation Iraqi Freedom," as seen through the eyes and actions of a group of elite US First Recon Marines who were at the spearhead of the invasion. This gritty miniseries provides an uncompromising account of the collective forces that guided these highly-trained Marines across a barren landscape in an often-improvised military initiative designed to liberate the Iraqi people from Saddam Hussein.

Another series that will strike a chord among many Filipino viewers is "Mumbai Calling." This new series provides a closer look into the lives of call center agents in India.

In it, England has outsourced all its problems to a team of highly educated university graduates working in a call center far away in India. Kenny Gupta, a London-born accountant, has been sent to run it. Thousands of miles away from home, Kenny is miserable and wants out. Through it all, his general manager, Dev, has been running the show until the London head office sends a feisty lady to check on him. Set in the fictional Teknobable Call Center in downtown Mumbai, "Mumbai Calling" is a comedy that will make you laugh off your chair.

"Head Case" is a new series about a celebrity therapist and her well-known patients and their out-of-the-ordinary problems.

In this groundbreaking, semi-scripted comedy series, therapist to the stars Dr. Elizabeth Goode claims to create a safe space for the celebrity patients who seek her unique brand of counseling. But that could not be further from the truth. By turns, brash and judgmental, unconventional and downright abusive, Dr. Goode often works through her own neuroses at her clients’ expense. Willing to subject themselves to Goode’s services is a veritable "who’s who" of stars from the world of entertainment, sports, and music.
