Sexy star gains weight, wants to lose it fast

Katrina Halili admits she really gained weight after wrapping up work on Gagambino a few months back.

There was no immediate project lined up for me so I took the opportunity to take a vacation. Its when I started to eat without limit. As in unlimited rice! Ha-ha-ha! she reveals with a laugh.

Kat used to be on a strict diet.

I really avoided eating plenty of rice when I was busy with commitments left and right. I was more on the viands. If I would take rice, I made sure it was just little. I was truly afraid to get fat then because I had to maintain my sexy figure. But after Gagambino, my waistline and hips got out of shape. Imagine, my waistline reached 27 inches from my ideal 24 and I weighed heavy at 120 lbs. Once, I tried to wear my old clothes and discovered they didnt fit anymore. Someone also commented that I look heavy on the screen. That was the time I panicked. So I cut on my rice intake again.

Actually, I still want to lose some more but Im happy that my efforts work. Unknown to many, Im not a gym freak. I hate going out just for that purpose. So what I did was to buy my own exercise equipment so I can do it even in the house. Now, Im proud to say that I already lost some eight pounds although I still want to shed five more and obtain my desired 22 inches, states Katrina.

It was good timing since projects started knocking on her door once again.

Im glad that GMA-7 included me in the month-long summer episode of Dear Friend titled Karibal where I share the spotlight with Alfred Vargas, Jewel Mische, and JC Tiuseco. I was also tapped by Bench, Flawless, and Kawasaki to be their latest endorser. GMA makes sure too that I have guest appearances in many of their top-rating shows. Its like my career is on the roll once again!

In the movie front, she was last seen in the horror film Sundo together with action superstar Robin Padilla. Her fans are curious if her OctoArts vehicle, the remake of the Vilma Santos classic Miss X, will still push through.

From what I heard, it will. My manager assured me that after finalizing talks with OctoArts. Its good since I had weight problems. The script was also revised. Hope I get to start shooting the soonest time possible, Katrina wishes.

After Regine, its Marian

Robin Padilla is dead set on getting Marian Rivera to be his leading lady in his next GMA show. Like what he did in his current top-rating program Totoy Bato where he requested the Kapuso management for Regine Velasquez as his love interest.When asked for her reaction regarding Binoes plan, Marian says shes flattered.

Who wouldnt be? she beams. Thats Robin Padilla! Hes one of the most durable stars in the industry who I look up to. Itll be a big honor if ever. And one more thing, who am I to refuse to any male star who wants me as leading lady? Its work and Im grateful that Im being considered.

Dingdong Dantes was asked if he would be jealous of Robin if his request to do a project with Marian will be granted by GMA.

I dont think so! I know its just work. I trust her. Robin has the perfect choice in Marian. Actually, weve already talked about the possibility of working with other screen partners. We are certain it will eventually come. Marian and me know its for our own welfare, he says.

As of now, the popular love team is happy with the much improved ratings of their third GMA project Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang.
