Shake, rattle and roll of the drums

We received an unexpected message recently, which felt very much like a warning, for a write-up we did in a tabloid about the reactions shared by Jorge del Rosario and his wife Patricia over published items accusing them of so many things related to their son Vince del Rosario’s relationship with Inah Revilla.

We were able to interview the couple so that their voices could be heard as they felt they were being harshly judged by the Revillas (Sen. Bong and family and those around them) with comments like “kunsintidor,” being an employee of the senator and other matters involving mansion and money. Besides, it was a pocket interview attended not just by this writer but other legitimate media colleagues as well.

Several things have been written about it and we believe that what we wrote was just among those that probably got the ire of the Revillas or whoever gave them and sent them distorted information. What they sent in as feeler to serve as a warning for us seemed something serious, which was truly surprising.

Now it can be told. Precious Lara Quigaman is indeed out of the high-rating noontime show, Wowowee. Several quarters got shocked by the news, but there is an explanation, of course, especially since the former Ms. International is known for her simplicity and low-key image in showbiz.

Even her co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion and Pokwang were surprised about the development since they just had a highly successful show at the Aloha Stadium in Hawaii last week.

According to our source, Lara violated a certain provision in their agreement with regards to bringing a companion in their out-of-town or out-of-the-country shows. Lara reportedly brought in as her gplus oneh (production people are always entitled to a plus one) her non-showbiz boyfriend. “It was unauthorized,” said our source. When Wowowee started live broadcasting last Thursday, Lara did not report. We tried to contact the beauty queen through our Araneta contact, but as of this writing, we hadn’t heard anything from her. We can only assume she wants to be taken with utmost simplicity as she has always conducted herself.
