GUESS where KC Concepcion brought Piolo Pascual for a side trip before coming back home after taping their first series, "Lovers in Paris"?

They went to Assisi, a town in E. Umbria in Central Italy.

Assisi is known as the birthplace of one of the most famous saints among Filipinos, St. Francis of Assisi.

Another saint who comes from Assisi is St. Claire.

KC also had Piolo accompany her when she went to the St. Peter’s Cathedral in the Vatican.

Although both are Born Again Christians, the two obviously didn’t find anything wrong in visiting these places of worship associated with the Catholic religion.

Piolo and KC were in Paris for almost three weeks. They are back to tape the indoor shots.

The two came home from Paris last Friday. They were at the wake of director Cathy Garcia-Molina’s husband, Philip, last Tuesday.

Direk Cathy was the director of the series, "Lobo," which co-starred Piolo with Angel Locsin.

Do you know that Piolo now has his own Bible study group consisting mostly of fellow artists at ABS-CBN like KC?

Every Sunday, the members come together at Piolo’s unit at a plush condo in Quezon City for Bible study.

Aside from KC, Piolo’s fellow talents in "ASAP Live" religiously attend the gathering, according to a Yes! magazine article. These are Mark Bautista, Sam Milby, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos and Yeng Constantino.

Director Joyce Bernal and talent manager (of Sam Milby and Denise Laurel) Erick Raymundo usually join the group.

Piolo, Mark, Sam, Christian and Erick, if you recall, produced the concert "Pop Icons" under their Sunday Night Productions. It was a co-production with ASAP Live.

They plan to organize a "Pop Icons" tour abroad.

Back in town is Carmen Soo, the Malaysian actress who is now familiar to avid fans of television series on ABS-CBN.

Carmen was Jericho Rosales’ leading lady in the hit "Kahit Isang Saglit," which was a co-production of ABS CBN and Malaysia’s Double Vision.

Is she doing another series? we asked Carmen. Will it be with Jericho again?

"No," she quickly replied. "I’m back to do a movie. Yes, with Jericho and Kristine Hermosa."

The movie will start shooting in July. But she was instructed to come earlier, as she has to learn Tagalog. She is currently taking lessons.

She lives by herself in a condo unit which is only a five-minute walk from ABS-CBN. She is now a talent of Star Magic, which will help her facilitate all her commitments in the Philippines. She has been assigned a handler who goes with her in her showbiz activities.

Does this mean she will be staying here until she wraps up work for the movie?

"No," she replied. "From time to time, I will have to leave. I have commitments to fulfill in Malaysia."

Carmen, aside from acting, is also into modeling, both on ramp and in commercials.

Carmen revealed she is both amazed and amused at the way Filipinos treat her. Back in Malaysia, she revealed she can do regular stuff like driving, shopping and going around places with no one giving her extra attention, unlike here where fans can be very expressive about their admiration.

She disclosed how overwhelmed she felt because of the reception she and Jericho got during the "Meet the Stars" event they attended.

By the way, Carmen has a cameo in the upcoming Maricel Soriano horror-suspense movie, "T2."

She refused to divulge anything when asked about her role in "T2," which is directed by Chito Roño and produced by Star Cinema.

In Malaysia, she also has a horror movie to her credit, "Wish I Was There." Her other movies are "You Can Dance" and "My Spy," which will be released in Malaysia.

Her TV projects, before "Kahit Isang Saglit," were all released in Malaysia. They are "A Girl From Ipo," "Rose, Rose I Love You" (a musical), "Trio and a Bed" (Chinese version of "Sex in the City") and "Ghost" (a Malay-English TV series).
