Sid Lucero describes Jericho Rosales as an 'honest actor' Author: Napoleon Quintos Sid Lucero is very excited about his role in the new teleserye Dahil May Isang Ikaw, something he considers as an honor. "I'm just thankful for this project because it makes me love my job even more. I just want to keep working because it feels so good." For this 25-year old, starring in Dahil May Isang Ikaw entails serious hard work. "Right now the primetime block of ABS-CBN is doing great in the ratings and as we try to join that league for me there is the pressure to give the viewers a great show. The pressure is building up because everybody is working very hard and putting all their time and effort to come up with a good show. I wish I can do well enough according to what people are expecting from me." Sid ha appeared in numerous ABS-CBN shows in the past like Kung Fu Kids, Ligaw na Bulaklak, and Komiks presents Mars Ravelo's Flash Bomba. In Dahil May Isang Ikaw, Sid will play Jericho Rosales's rival for the love of Kristine Hermosa. "I play Red Ramirez, kapatid ni Jericho and kababata ni Kristine. Magkakahiwahiwalay kami and years after we will all realize that what we have been searching for is right in front of us. Ako 'yung magiging hadlang sa love nina Echo and Tin. Mas pipiliin ko 'yung pagmamahal ko kay Kristine kaysa sa pagiging magkapatid namin ni Jericho." Sid said that doing scenes with Jericho is just a great learning experience. "Jericho has a very honest approach when it comes to acting. A lot of actors when they portray a character mapapansin mo na hiwalay 'yung character nila sa true personality nila. But Jericho's approach is very honest so you would feel that everything comes from his heart. You will be convinced na totoo 'yung ginagawa at sinasabi niya when it fact it's just acting. That's why I find it very easy to act with him because he is very giving and at the same time he knows how much to take especially in scenes that we do together. I learn a lot from him. We talk a lot kapag gagawa na kami ng eksena kaya ang sarap niyang katrabaho." Dahil May Isang Ikaw is also top-billed by Grand Slam Best Actress Lorna Tolentino and returning actor Gabby Concepcion. Although he himself has won awards for his acting, Sid admitted that he still felt intimidated being around Lorna and Gabby. " Lahat sila nakaka-challenge ka-eksena. Kung ganito kagagaling ang mga kasama mong artista hindi mo alam kung saan mo ilulugar 'yung sarili mo. Pero ang maganda sa challenge na 'yun is it urges me to give my best." But Sid revealed that being the son of Mark Gil and part of the Eigenmann clan that includes Michael De Mesa, Cherie Gil, and Rosemarie Gil helped him establish a good relationship with the veteran actors in the teleserye. " Sina Gabby and Lorna napapanood ko na sila nung bata ako kaya medyo na-star struck ako sa kanila. But it's also good that my family had worked with them before so medyo hindi na ako naiilang sa kanila. Pagdating ko pa lang sa set may ikukwento na sila, 'Ay naku! 'Yung dad mo nung nakatrabaho ko...blah blah!' Mas madali silang makapalagayan ng loob. I try to be friends with everybody so it will be translated to the way we act on screen."
