Star Magic celebrates its 17th year anniversary Author: ABS-CBN Showbuzzer Star Magic is celebrating 17 years of developing the best talents in showbiz and there's no better way to illustrate how far the talent management group has gone than with ABS-CBN's latest top-raters. Several kapamilya shows are headlined by Star Magic's talents. Hapontastic's Kambal Sa Uma stars Shaina Magdayao and Melissa Ricks in a remake of the classic movie which originally featured Rio Locsin. The show which premiered April 20 also features Star Magic artists Jason Abalos, Matt Evans, Aldred Gatchalian, Carlo Guevara, and Bangs Garcia. Koreanovela Only You which premiered last April 27 is top-billed by Angel Locsin with Star Magic artists Sam Milby and Diether Ocampo. The show, which consistently has very high ratings, also features Dimples Romana as kontrabida. One of showbiz' most beautiful faces, Star Magic jewel Kristine Hermosa, successfully made her TV comeback with Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo's Nasaan Ka Maruja? last May 2. Fellow Star Magic artists Kitkat and Enchong Dee lend their able support to Kristine with their roles. Precious Hearts Romances Presents' initial offering, Bud Brothers written by Rose Tan, revolves around college fraternity brothers who put up a business called the Bud Brothers Flower Farm and the quirky yet gorgeous women with whom these men will fall for. Jake Cuenca, Rafael Rosell, Joem Bascon, Wendy Valdez, Maricar Reyes, and Roxanne Guinoo plus newcomers Pinoy Fear Factor participantes Manuel Chua and Janna Dominguez and singer Guji Lorenzana are the Star Magic artists who are part of the show's cast. The latest show that will feature young Star Magic talents is Your Song Presents Boystown, which will see ASAP '09's Giggerboys-Enchong Dee, Robi Domingo, Sam Concepcion, AJ Perez, Arron Villaflor, Dino Imperial, and Chris Gutierrez-under the direction of Lino Cayetano.
