Star Magic’s June gems

In show business, the saying “stars come and go” seem not a truism. To this day, the talent agency borne out of the network’s desire to develop talents that it can field in its programs continue to take care of talents that they treat like members of the family, Recently, the agency presented the artists to the press, all born in the month of June. Here are the guys and gals that make up the June gems.

Michael Richard Perz (aka Mickey Perz ) is one of the few who made it big in the business after Pinoy Big Brother Season 2. This half Austrian has worked as an analyst in Switzerland but his real passion is dancing. A regular of Asap 09, Mickey is one of the choreographers of Supah Dance Crew with Billy Crawford, Vhong Navarro and Rayver Cruz. Mickey is also an in-house dance instructor for the kids and teens for the Star Magic workshops. This 25- year-old guy is very happy that he has finally opened his own dance school in Makati. He is hands-on with his own business which is not only a dance school but also offers boxing and yoga. Mickey can’t ask for more at this point. He just hopes to continue sharing his knowledge with everyone who has the same passion as him. Mickey celebrated his birthday on June 1.

After PBB, Wendy appeared in Margarita. In her three years, she had worked with famous and veteran actors from whom she has learned a lot. Her biggest break to date is a role in I Love Betty La Fea. Wendy is also in Precious Romance presents Bud Brothers. Happy and contented, Wendy only hopes for more projects to come. She celebrated her birthday on June 2.

Model turned actor-host Victor Basa is one of the busiest Star Magic artists doing one project after another. Victor celebrated his 24th birthday last June 6.

We have known Japoy Lizardo as one of the country’s prides in taekwondo. He has represented our country in various competitions. A sports advocate who is also known for the drink TV ad, Japoy is preparing for an upcoming fight and he hopes to win the gold medal in the 2009 Taekwondo World Champion competition. Japoy is ready full blast in his other interests after graduating in Sports studies at De La Salle University this year. The former Wazzup Wazzup Tadjock, Japoy is regularly seen in Studio 23 for a taekwondo segment and in Pinoy Sports Idol on NBN-4. Japoy celebrated his 23rd birthday last June 8.

Granddaughter of former LVN actor Mario Montenegro, Valeen Montenegro took after her grandfather in terms of looks and talent. She is also a student of College of St. Benilde taking up fashion design and merchandising.

She turned 19 last June 10.

The rest are the gems

Actress-singer Auriette Divina turned 18 at BMW (Zeno Bar Cafe Lounge) inLibis last June 12 with close friends and family.

At nine years old, Sophia Baars surely knows how to balance her career and studies. She celebrated her birthday last June 12.

After the soap opera Abt Ur Luv, Crazy for U and Ysabella, Aldred Gatchalian chose to concentrate on his studies while waiting for the next project in ABS-CBN. He celebrated his 18th year last June 14. Model-turned-actor Benj Basa is a regular in TV 5’s Lipgloss. He is a freshman at Centro Escolar University majoring in Hotel Restaurant Management. Benj celebrated his birthday last June 12.
