Studio 23 managing director Leo Katigbak announced that viewers no longer have to wait so long to catch the next happenings on their favorite foreign shows because Studio 23 will only be a week or two behind the US airings. Katigbak said Studio 23 is the only free TV channel that has the most popular and most up-to-date foreign series such as "Desperate Housewives," "Smallville," and "Grey?s Anatomy." "We will be current with the seasons being played in the USA," he said. "Viewers no longer have to wait for the usual 4-12 months to catch the latest developments in their favorite shows or even download them off the Internet." Aside from this development, Katigbak said the station will be airing new seasons of hit shows like "Ghost Whisperer," "Lost," "Two and a Half Men," and the number 2 US comedy, "Rules of Engagement" while the longest-running family drama in television, "7th Heaven," bids farewell with its 11th season. Meanwhile, the world?s first team-based professional mixed martial arts league, "International Fight League," continues to capture audiences with its pulse-pounding bouts, while international breakout hits "Kyle XY" and "Brothers and Sisters" boggle the mind and touch the heart with the incredible journeys of life, love, marriage, and family. Katigbak announced that Studio 23 will beef up its local programming with more new shows to be launched in the next few months, such as a primetime game show, a youth variety show, a men?s lifestyle show, and two reality shows among others. But Studio 23 retains shows "Us Girls" "Y Speak" and news program "News Central." "Us Girls" hosts Iya Villania, Chesca Garcia, and Angel Aquino continue to give lifestyle tips and stories to viewers, while Bianca Gonzales, Patricia Evangelista, JC Cuadrado, Mo Twister and Kim Atienza enjoins young viewers to talk about issues that matter in "Y Speak."
