Sunshine Dizon after the break-up

Sunshine Dizon made a pronouncement in the talk program, "Showbiz Central," last Sunday that there is definitely no bad blood between her and Camille Prats. If at all, she says she pities Camille because the latter was accused of having grabbed the role in the GMA-7 series, "Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan?" which was originally assigned to Sunshine.

The actress thinks Camille is doing great with the role. She admits that it was originally offered to her, but she had to beg off as she was terribly sick at the time.

These days, though, Sunshine is not only up and about but she is also raring to start work on her new movie - yes, movie - with Robin Padilla and Katrina Halili, titled "Sundo."

When we saw her last, Sunshine not only looked good but also prettier. There was no trace of any pain after breaking up with Jojo Manlongat.

Bea Alonzo's decision to quit the ABS-CBN Sunday noontime musical show, "ASAP," was met with disappointment by her co-hosts.

She, however, explained that it was not just her decision but also the decision of the big bosses behind her new teleserye, "Betty La Fea." She herself believes that for her to give justice to her first starring role, she should concentrate on it.

Vhong Navarro, who plays an important role in "Betty La Fea," admires Bea for her decision.

"Sometimes," Vhong remarked, "you have to give up something for one which needs your attention.

"I'd say that top billing 'Betty La Fea' is Bea's moment. Kaya, she needs to prove that she deserves it. She also needs to make the most of the break."

This early, Bea is getting terrific feedback. Most everyone, after all, recognizes her talent and her industriousness.

Lucy Torres was a sight to behold when she did a dance number at the launch of TV5 at the Events Place last week.

She hosts "Shall We Dance?" the dance show of TV5. She will be joined by Star Magic talents Victor Basa and Jon Avila as co-hosts and dance partners.

"Shall We Dance?" will still be aired Sundays, 9 p.m. But it will be a bigger and better show. It will no longer feature strictly ballroom dancing, but will also show jazz, hip hop and contemporary dance.

On its first season, guests will be Gab Valenciano, Mickey See, Jopay of Sexbomb, Cherie, Shirley Fuentes and Aldred Gatchalian.
