ABS-CBN'S BIG LAUNCH ABS-CBN had a grand launch for their three new shows yesterday in celebration of their 55th anniversary. It's unprecedented in local TV history that three big shows will premiere simultaneously in one night: the wholesome action fare for the entire family, "Kung Fu Kids"; the TV remake of the hit action-adventure series, "Palos"; and the romantic fantaserye about the love affair between a human and a werewolf, "Lobo". Will ABS finally top the ratings with these three big-budgeted new shows on their Primetime Bida? Let's wait and see. Francine Prieto and Keempee de Leon - Their love team will be successful not only on TV but also in the movies. (Their TV show, "Bahay Mo Ba 'To", was, in fact, cancelled. ) Angel Locsin and Dennis Trillo - Their love team has a different kind of charisma so they'll continue to be paired in TV shows and movies together. " In "Kung Fu Kids", Christopher is married to Almira Muhlach and their child is Chubbs, played by the cute chubby boy, Joseph Andrei Garcia, who's the best friend of the lead kiddie actor, Jairus Aquino. ALLEN ENJOYS BIG CHANGE FORMER sexy actor Allen Dizon achieved respectability after winning the Star and FAMAS best supporting actor awards for his fine performance as the doomed macho dancer in "Twilight Dancers". He's now happy to play the role of a politician in "Kung Fu Kids", the father of child star Jane Oineza who plays Moira, the fashionista member of the kung fu kids. When they started taping the series, sexy actress Renee Summer played his wife. But now, there's a change in the casting and Renee was replaced by Yayo Aguila, so they have to reshoot all the scene previously shot with Renee in it. "Okay lang," says Allan. "The important thing is I'm happy with my role. I used to play stud roles but this time, congressman na ako and most of my lines are in English, definitely a big change from the types of roles I played before. The role is challenging kasi mabait ako when the story starts, but I become bad when another woman, Asia Agcaoili, comes along to seduce me away from my family. What I didn't know is that she's working for the main villain, Gerard Pizarras as Macoy, the Fisherman, who steals this mysterious statue that gave him super powers. " On the big screen, Allen's first venture as a movie producer, a drama entitled "Crossroads", is now in the can. "We're now readying it for a big theatrical release in March," he says.
