TV Ratings (April 14-17): "Gobingo" debuts strongly but fails to topple "Wheel of Fortune"

The return of the GMA-7 game show Gobingo, hosted by Arnell Ignacio, had a very strong debut last Monday, April 14, with 21.1 percent to reach the last spot in the Top 10 of the primetime race. But the show's rating dramatically dropped to 14.2 percent the following night, April 15, and even lower Wednesday with 12.9 percent; before climbing to 13.9 percent Thursday.

Kris Aquino's Wheel of Fortune, in the meantime, started the week with a modest 18.8 percent, slightly lower than Gobingo's debut performance. But from Tuesday and Thursday, Kris's game show turned the wheel and rated higher than Arnell's show.

Robin Padilla's Joaquin Bordado firmly held its position as the No. 1 primetime show from Monday to Thursday, with Richard Gutierrez's Kamandag trailing behind at second place.

Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus got finally bumped off from its fifth position by TV Patrol World last Monday and by Kung Fu Kids Thursday, although it went back to No. 5 Tuesday and Wednesday.

Eat Bulaga! is also untouchable in its position as the No. 1 daytime program while Daisy Siete maintained its second-place finish.

Here are the comparative ratings of ABS-CBN and GMA-7 programs from April 14 to 17 based on the overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households:

April 14 (Monday)
