| TV Ratings (April 18-20): "SOP" and "ASAP '08" in a tight race![]() Author: Erwin Santiago Regine Velasquez's birthday celebration on SOP topped the daytime race yesterday, April 20, garnering a 14.8 percent while its rival program, ASAP '08, attracted 14 percent to take the second place The "Sayang Na Sayang" episode of Your Song starring Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks grabbed the third place with Takeshi's Castle coming in fourth. In the battle of showbiz talk shows, The Buzz had a slim lead versus Showbiz Central. The return of Kris Aquino on The Buzz generated 11.7 percent while Showbiz Central got 11.5 percent. In the primetime race, All Star K maintained its No. 1 position by virtue of its 26.2 percent rating; followed closely by Mel & Joey at second place with 26 percent. Four other GMA-7 shows made it in the Top 10: Kap's Amazing Stories (No.3), Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon Pasok (No. 4), Ful Haus (No. 5), and the global warming docu Signos (No. 8). ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition Plus, Goin' Bulilit, Rated K, and Sharon also made the cut. Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho was the leader in the primetime race last Saturday, April 19, with 28.7 percent; followed by Bitoy's Funniest Videos (26.1 percent) and Imbestigador (23 percent). Kapamilya shows I Am KC and PBB Teen Edition Plus took the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Pinoy Idol dropped to No. 6 while TV Patrol World, 1 vs. 100, XXX, and Nuts Entertainment completed the Top 10. Eat Bulaga! was the runaway winner in the daytime race with a whopping 24.7 percent rating versus second-placer Wowowee's 17 percent. The longest-running noontime show of Tito, Vic & Joey also topped the Friday (April 18) daytime race with three Kapuso soaps trailing behind-Maging Akin Ka Lamang, Daisy Siete, and Kaputol ng Isang Awit. Meanwhile, five Kapuso shows occupied the top half of last primetime race. The pack was led by Joaquin Bordado with 32.9 percent; followed by Kamandag, Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita, 24 Oras, and The Legend. Five Kapamilya shows, on the other hand, occupied the bottom half: Kung Fu Kids, TV Patrol World, PBB Teen Edition Plus, Palos, and Lobo.
