Column: Cebu, Lifestyle TRUE to its word of providing first-class programs, GMA Network presents its first primetime offering in 2009 with the newest action-suspense-drama on television-Carlo J. Caparas's Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang. Tadyang showcases the much-awaited return of the phenomenal love team of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera on television. The hottest couple playing the lead characters Homer (Dingdong Dantes) and Proserfina (Marian Rivera). Joining the country's hottest love team are Angelu de Leon as Helene, Homer's over-ambitious girlfriend; Paolo Contis as Rado, a ruthless man in love with Proserfina; Carmi Martin as Hera, Homer's domineering, snooty and arrogant mother; Eugene Domingo as Madel, Homer's maid; Francine Prieto as Sheila, Rado's girlfriend who hates Proserfina; and Sherilyn Reyes as Aunt Galatea, Homer's religious and loving aunt. Originally created for comics in 1974 by the 2008 Sagisag Balagtas awardee and comics genius Carlo J. Caparas, Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang was later adapted as a movie in 1981 starring Eddie Rodriguez and Vivian Velez.
