The Boyz and Rubi are back

IT WILL be a hot and sizzling night as Boyz.com goes center stage again with Rubirubi on May 16, Friday at Metrobar along West Ave. in Quezon City.

"Rubirubi@Boyz.com 2" is a commitment to fans who have requested for a repeat. Composed of Polo Ravales, Frank Garcia, Gabb Drilon, Alwyn Uytingco and Joseph Bitangcol, Boyz.com is now on its fourth concert.

Polo begins, "Due to the success of Rubirubi@Boyz.com in Zirkoh Greenhills last March, we felt it is time to mount the stage and sing and dance again for our fans. There will be new and bigger numbers that will showcase our talents. Our opening number will be a Chris Brown original, Cinderella. It will be hot!"

As showdate nears, Boyz.com has been rehearsing religiously with voice coach Tony Carpio and choreographer Spike Bermudez. "I am proud of Boyz.com because they are getting better all the time. From the time the group started last year, I see confidence and showmanship up there on stage," says Tony Carpio.

Frank Garcia is happy that Boyz.com is proving to all that they can perform. "It has been a goal from day one when our group was formed by our manager, director Manny Valera. His vision is to entertain fans with our music," he explains.

Dubbed as the "Voice" by director Joel Lamangan, Gabb Drilon says, "I am proud to be part of Boyz.com!"

Rubirubi opens her act with "One Night Only," a "DreamGirls" song originally sung by Beyonce Knowles. It will again highlight Rubirubis singing, dancing and comic talents.

Fresh from the box office success of "Manay Po 2: Overload," Rubirubi is grateful to Regal Films who relaunched her movie and acting career via "Hide and Seek," starring Jennica Garcia, Mart Escudero, Jena Garcia and Eric Quizon.

Rubirubi is also making her presence felt on television. She appeared in "Maalaala Mo Kaya" with Regine Velasquez in the episode directed by Jeffrey Jeturian and "I am KC" with KC Concepcion and Ai Ai delas Alas in the episode directed by Wenn Deramas. She will next be seen in a series on ABS-CBN to be directed by Deramas.

Polo just finished "Maging Akin Ka Lamang," the afternoon hit of GMA-7 with Nadine Samonte and Isabel Oli. He will next be seen again on the big screen in Regal Films "Loving You," starring Jean Garcia, Yasmien Kurdi, JC de Vera, John Prats and directed by Don Cuaresma.

Special guests of "RUBIRUBI@Boyz.com 2" are top sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto, "Philippine Idol" finalist Jan Nieto and FHM Cover Girl Hazel Ann Mendoza. Rufa will do a special number with Boyz.com while Jan Nieto will have a duet with Rubirubi. Hazel Ann Mendoza will perform a sexy dance number.
