Bambbi Fuentes, to whom Tita Cory usually went to for her hair and make-up, is visiting his mom in the US. *** Maricel Soriano and teenage actress Kim Chiu would have made an excellent mother and daughter team in the film which Star Cinema originally had conceptualized for Kris Aquino and Kim. Kris, however, had to give up the movie because of her moms condition. Star Cinemas decision is to have Kris replaced by Maricel. Reports have it that Maricel had first accepted the role but decided to beg off later. "Baka talagang para kay Kris ang role," said a kibitzer. "When Kris is finally decides to go back to work, she could always ask Star Cinema to give back to her the movie." Star Cinema has reportedly fielded another entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival this year: "I Love You Good-Bye," which also has Kim as one of the main stars and Gabby Concepcion, Derek Ramsey and Angelica Panganiban. *** Its just as well that Kim has no particular leading man in "I Love You Good-Bye," as it would have created a stir among her fans and that of Gerald Anderson. Remember when reports went around that Star Cinema and Viva Films were considering a Sarah Geronimo-Gerald Anderson team-up? The "Kimerald," as the fans of the Kim-Gerald fans are popularly known, were up in arms against the idea. Their anger only died down when they were assured that Sarah would have another leading man instead of Gerald. But we heard that Sarahs next movie will have her pit talents with Judy Ann Santos.
