| Toni says its strictly Gonzaga bonding in the US![]() Author: Ethel Ramos Valerie Concepcion says a friend from way back, a basketball player, remains to this day her ardent suitor. They are quietly dating, she admits. But there is nothing special and official between them yet. "I have to prepare a good future for my daughter, Fiona (who is four years old). Para, halimbawang dumating ang araw na mag-asawa ako, hindi ko na kailangang iasa pa ang mga pangangailangan ni Fiona sa aking mapapangasawa. "Although, of course, ang pipiliin kong lalaking maging pangalawang ama ng aking anak ay yung mamahalin at aalagaan siyang parang tunay na anak." It helps, according to Valerie, that shes busy, not only with her daily hosting job for "Wowowee" but also with other endeavors. She is with the cast of "One Night Only," which is the Metro Manila Film Festival entry of OctoArts Films. Directed by Joey Javier Reyes, it is like a reunion movie for her and her former colleagues in GMA 7, namely Diana Zubiri, Jennylyn Mercado, Katrina Halili and Alessandra de Rossi. Like her, Alessandra is now with ABS-CBN. Valerie, likewise, has been doing personal appearances both here and abroad. "I really feel so blessed," she happily remarked. "Kayaang wish ko na lang for the New Year is for my lucky streak to continue. "I thank the Lord for everything that happened to me in 2008." *** Its bonding time for Toni Gonzaga and her family. Toni, along with her sister, Alex, and their parents are in the US spending Christmas and the New Year. They are on vacation for two weeks. "We will spend Christmas in California, specifically, Los Angeles," said Toni days before they left. "Then to New York we go for the New Year." It was her mom, according to Toni, who suggested this trip. They unanimously agreed to do it. "Since naging busy ako, hindi ako nakaka-spendng Pasko at Bagong Taon with them. Madalas, may trabaho ako. This time, however, my Mom turned down all offers for me to work within the next 15 days," related Toni. Will her boyfriend, Paul Soriano, join them? "Hindi. It will strictly be a Gonzaga bonding. Paul and his family, I think, have their own tradition on how to spend Christmas and the New Year," Toni said. *** The cast and staff of "Iskul Bukol (20 Years After)" is dedicating the movie to the late Bing Angeles, who, during the years that the TV show "Iskul Bukol," was on air, played Mang Temi, the canteen owner. Other than Bing, all the original members of the cast of "Iskul Bukol" are in the reunion movie. These are Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and Mely Tagasa (popularly known as Miss Tapia). Tito, Vic and Joey had to pay bail for the release of Richie d Horsie, so he can appear in the movie. Also in the cast are Bibeth Orteza, Jimmy Santos, Tonette Macho and Joey Hanson. In featured roles are Joeys son, Keempee, Titos son, Gian, and Vics son, Oyo Boy. Carlene Aguilar plays Vics leading lady. In special roles are Sharon Cuneta and Kaye Torres. Ryan Agoncillo is in the movie, too. Directed by Tony Reyes, the film opens with Cambodia as backdrop. APT Entertainment co-produced "Iskul Bukol " with OctoArts Films and M-Zet Productions.
