WERE getting a deluge of Valentine shows pre-Valentine and post-Valentine shows included.

And what better way to stage a comeback to his first love for Raymond Lauchengco but to have a show on Valentines Day?

The former teen balladeer who became a member of Viva films Bagets gang in the mid-80s has shed off his matinee idol image for a while and switched to something else. Like photography for a living.

Raymonds forthcoming Valentine concert, Classic Romance at the Rockwell Tent on Feb. 14. Yes, hes coming up with his current "mature and sophisticated sound" singing standards and Broadway pieces along with OPMs he recorded and Spanish songs he grew up with.

His Classic Romance will reflect a "polished repertoire", playing like the soundtrack of yes a classic romance.

The contemporary of Aga Muhlach, Herbert Bautista and JC Bonnin at the Viva lot then, he looks forward to singing in his concert with sister Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo and his producer Ayen Laurel.

Tickets are available at TicketWorld, #891-9999 or contact #0919-681-0552.

As the world celebrates love on his concert day, Raymond hopes "to communicate to his audience what love is at its very core."

More shows are coming up on Valentines Day.

Theres Jenine Desiderio whose Valentine show falls on the day itself. Her This Game Called Love has its venue at the New Airport Casino Filipino Theater in Paraaque.

With Toti Fuentes as musical director, Marco Sison and Jimmy Bondoc will be there with Jenine.

According to her, the show features a blend of love songs, with a little bit of Broadway, a movie theme songs medley with Marco, an acoustic duet with Jimmy and current fast songs.

Jenine will also sing songs from her album entitled J9 with Universal Records, songs like Habang Buhay and Panakip Butas.

Since Jenine made her mark as Kim in the Ms. Saigon original London production, no show of hers can be complete without a number from the musical.

This time, however, she will do I Still Believe as a duet with herself to include a glimpse of herself as Kim during an actual performance of Miss Saigon in London.

Dinner at 7 p.m., show at 9 p.m. Tickets are available for dinner with show or for the show alone. For inquiries, call #727-6584.

NEW ROLE: Barely three years in local movies, Juliana Palermo has the rare opportunity of playing different roles in her films no roles alike, including being the lady of Manny Pacquiao in FLTs Lisensyadong Kamao.

She started out as a jobseeker who was pressured to cybersex in Tikoy Aguiluzs xxx.com and country lass in Panaghoy sa Suba. Last time, she was the mysterious maid who has an affair with her master in Mourning Girls.

Julianas newest exposure so far is being the blushing bride (of Lauren Novero), the youngest daughter (of Johnny Delgado) in Dante Mendozas Kaleldo, being prepared for a June playdate.

Incidentally, Kaleldo got a B-grade from the Cinema Evaluation Board recently.

HOLLYWOOD NOTES: Funnyman Martin Lawrence as FBI undercover agent was a big hit in 2000 with Big Mommas House. Now hes back to expose the suspected designer of deadly computer "worm" out to damage government files.

Lawrence insists that in Big Mommas House 2, the ingredient for a sequel is right. The script had to be very funny for him to do it. The film opens this February from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
