ABS-CBN's early morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda" (UKG) will have a weeklong celebration for its second year on television.

Beginning Monday at 5:30 a.m., catch the special anniversary presentations by UKG hosts Pinky Webb, Alex Santos, Anthony Taberna, Kim Atienza, Bernadette Sembrano, Donita Rose, Winnie Cordero, Rica Peralejo and the show's newest addition Ginger Conejero and Atom Araullo.

Ginger has been hosting UKG for several months now. Last Monday, she was assigned as the newest ANChor of UKG's entertainment news segment which was previously hosted by Obette Serrano, Ogie Diaz, and Rica Peralejo.

"I am excited and at the same time nervous because I have really big shoes to fill. The showbiz segment is one of the most-watched segments in UKG and previous ANChors like Ogie Diaz and Rica Peralejo already made their marks," said Ginger, who is now sporting a new look with her short hair.

The showbiz door opens for Ginger after winning Miss Philippines-Air in 2006. The Fil-Am beauty queen built her credibility as an entertainment journalist by producing reports for "TV Patrol World" before being chosen to ANChor "Mornings@ANC" on ABS-CBN News Channel.

Meanwhile, young reporter Atom Araullo will also be added to the family of UKG. He will start reporting on "Boto Mo, iPatrol Mo" news on July 20.

"Atom represents today's youth who are sensible, adventurous, and aware of what's happening in the country; while Ginger is our showbiz news authority who will bring the latest celebrity buzz and news," said executive producer Cheryl Favila.

Atom started young in the media by being part of children shows "5 and Up" and "Chikiting Patrol." He hosted Studio 23's morning program "Breakfast" in 2000 before becoming a field reporter for UKG. He is co-ANChoring the weekly current affairs show "Kalye" and reports for "TV Patrol World."

"'Umagang Kay Ganda' is close to my heart because it is where I started out as a reporter. Joining the show as an ANChor will enable me to face a different group of people, who I don't usually reach whenever I do my reports on primetime," said Atom.

For its anniversary week, join the UKG ANChors on Monday as they reminisce UKG's beginnings and look back at their most memorable experiences on the program.

They will then pay tribute to the hardworking Filipinos on Tuesday and produce a special livelihood episode on Wednesday.
