Column: Entertainment Actress and television host Valerie Concepcion finally confessed to the real status of her relationship with Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) star cager Donaldo "Don Don" Honteveros.
In an interview with "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon," Concepcion said that the two have a special relationship.
"We are more than friends but we are not yet lovers-- siguro doon sa middle noon," Concepcion said.
The co-host of popular noontime show "Wowowee" admitted that there are "some complications with their affair", but refused to provide more details. However, she said she has resolved to just enjoy her time with the PBA star.
"Ang naging motto ko parang let's enjoy each other while we can now. If in the end maging tayo, then happy happy, but if not then okay lang din parang ganoon," she said.
Valerie added that she did not want to ruin their bond by fueling romantic speculations at this early stage. "It's more of ayaw ko nang pangunahan whatever we have. Kumbaga parang happy ka na ngayon na steady lang. Parang kung pipilitin mo na ganoon na maging deeper 'yong relationship or maging serious, baka ma-jinx," she said.
The actress-host also denied rumors that Don Don was already married. "He is legally free, he never got married naman," Concepcion explained.
It has been more than two years since rumors of a romantic relationship between the pair started.
Valerie who has a daughter with her ex-sweetheart is now gearing up for her latest project "Precious Hearts Romances" while Honteveros, who plays for the Magnolia team, has had a son with his former girlfriend. Source: ABS-CBN News |
