She seems to enjoy everything coming her way, ini-enjoy din daw niya ang pakikipag-date whenever she feels like going out. Nali-link ngayon si Val kay Dondon Hontiveros, isang basketball player, who is also rumored to be going out with the Wowowee host. Her mom, Mayette doesn't have anything against it though. She told ABS-CBN.com, " Pinapayagan ko naman 'pag nagpapa-alam na lumabas o magdi-dinner. Si Dondon mismo ang nakikipag-usap sa amin at pumupunta sa bahay. Ahh, no, hindi ko siya hinihigpitan. Val already knows her limitations and she's matured enough to handle herself." Maging si Valerie ay walang masabi kundi nagpapasalamat siya sa suportang binigay ng mga magulang niya sa kanya. Valerie is also very proud of her lovely daughter Fiona, who's now four years old. Fiona, who is Val's little version, is growing up to be smart and pretty like her Mom.
