Valerie Concepcion says she's 'close' to Vhong Navarro

Sexy and sweet actress/TV host Valerie Concepcion confirmed to ABS-CBNnews.com that she's now very close to actor-dancer Vhong Navarro, after having a great time working with him as his leading lady in Star Cinema's comedy film "Supahpapalicious."

"We are okay, we are good friends. I enjoyed working with him and I'm looking forward to work with him again. That's how close we are right now, that's how okay we are," Valerie said.

Valerie made the statement amid reports that Navarro gave special treatment to the actress while filming. "Supapahlicious" is now on the second week of its theatrical run.

Asked whether romance is in the air for the two of them, Valerie hinted that she wouldn't mind if the actor decided to woo her.

"As I always say, nothing is impossible in this world--we can never tell kung ano ang mangyayari. So I think there's a possibility if ever hindi ba. As a person I really do like him as a person, the personality everything okay siya."

Possible "Ugly" role?
Just recently, Valerie was caught by surprise by reports that she is among those being eyed to play the lead role in ABS-CBN's upcoming television series "Betty La Fea."

The popular Mexican TV soap opera has had a successful run of its American version, "Ugly Betty" which stars actress America Ferrera.

Valerie said that while she really hopes to get the project, the mere fact that she is being considered for the role is flattering enough.

"I'm honored and I'm flattered talaga... sabi ko nga kung hindi man ako mapili at least alam ko na nakasama ako sa pinagpipilian, iyon pa lang big honor na for me," she said.

Other actresses reportedly being considered for the role are "Lobo" star Angel Locsin and "Maging Sino Ka Man" mainstays Bea Alonzo and Anne Curtis.

Valerie is currently co-hosting the daily noontime show "Wowowee" with Willie Revillame. She was launched as the endorser of a new slimming capsule recently released in the market.
