Valerie Concepcion and Roxanne Guinoo confirmed that they are leaving all-female comedy show "Banana Split."

The show announced that a new set of cast will be introduced for the second season of Banana Split but reports said the contracts of Concepcion and Guinoo were not renewed.

Both Concepcion and Guinoo confirmed the report during the press conference of upcoming television series "Precious Hearts Romance."

"Nakikipag-negotiate sila sa manager ko about my budget tapos hindi sila nagkasundo. Dinecide na huwag na lang [ituloy]," Concepcion said.

Guinoo, on the other hand, admitted that it was the decision of ABS-CBN management to remove her from the show.

"Wala talaga akong maipapaliwanag tungkol issue. Gan'on talaga, may ma-re-retain, may kailangang ilipat sa [ibang] shows," she said.

Their co-stars, Angelica Panganiban and Cristine Reyes, meanwhile, said they were saddened by this new development.

"Nakakalungkot dahil hindi biro 'yong ginagawa naming trabaho pero nasa ABS-CBN [pa din naman] kaming lahat," Panganiban said.

For Reyes, she would miss their "bonding" moments.

"Tumatakas pa kami, nagpupunta kami ng spa... kumakain kami. Nagkakaroon kami ng bonding," Reyes said. The Buzz
