| | Valerie admits admiring Poon's cool voiceAuthor: Abraham Baladad Column: Entertainment Sultry actress-host Valerie Concepcion explained her side on the supposed issue with Richard Poon after reports alleged that the crooner had said she was not his type of girl. In an interview, Concepcion shared that the supposed issue with Poon started when they did a show together at Zirkoh bar in Greenhills. The co-host of ABS-CBN's popular noontime show "Wowowee" said that she did not take offense at Poon's statement. To end the issue the actress stressed that she does not feel anything for Poon but admitted she admired for the singer's cool voice. "The voice lang kasi, parang feeling ko na romantic kung boyfriend mo siya, tapos kakantahan ka niya," she said. Answers more 'intrigues' Concepcion who is busy working for her kid and her future also answered intrigues that keep on haunting her. She said the reports of a rift with co-host Mariel Rodriguez is not true. Kami talaga 'yong magkasama. So paano mangyayari na nagde-demandahan kami, hindi ba? We can stand each other," she explained. Concepcion also denied reports she was 'sucking up' to Wowowee's main host Willie Revillame by bringing foods. She said that she does not only offer food to Revillame but also to the show's staff. So siyempre ikaw magdadala ka na. It's not just for 'Papy' naman. Siyempre shini-share lang namin kay 'Papy' pero it's not just for him. For everyone naman shini-share ko ang blessings na natatanggap ko," said Concepcion. Concepcion also said that she does not need to "suck up" to Revillame. "Hindi. Bakit kailangang sumipsip? I'm giving my best. Bakit ako sisipsip?" she said. Focus on career To end, Concepcion also answered the issue about her love life. She said that right now she is loveless and is just focusing on her career. "Wala pang boyfriend, enjoy lang dating. Feeling ko kasi hindi ko mabibigay 'yong full attention ko, kasi career first," she said. Aside from hosting "Wowowee," Concepcion is also the newest endorser for a new formulated energy drink. "Sobrang honor na from the start ako ang choice ng Energo na maging endorser," she said. Concepcion is also set to do a movie "One Night Only" under OctoArts Film with Katrina Halili, Jon Avila, Diana Zubiri, Alessandra de Rossi, Joross Gamboa and Jennylyn Mercado. Source: ABS-CBN News |
