Valerie admits dating Hontiveros

SEXY televisions host Valerie Concepcion admitted she is dating San Miguel Beermen star cager Dondon Hontiveros.

"We're okay. We're dating but we're not lovers yet," the 21-year-old mainstay of ABS-CBN's noontime show Wowowee said in Monday's press conference at SM City Bacolod's Pietro Kaffee.

Hontiveros and the San Miguel Beermen are busy preparing for the semi-final match against Talk 'N Text in the ongoing KFC-PBA Philippine Cup while the single mom is also busy with her showbiz career.

"I love hosting in Wowowee. Being a host for one and a half year, I never get tired of hosting. I just love my work," added Valerie, who said she is a happy type of person on and off the camera.

Valerie was in Bacolod for a mall tour at SM City sponsored by ABS-CBN and M.O.R, Sylvia Manor Hotel, Resto Grill sa Baybay, Pietro Kaffee, the Art Work, and the SM City Bacolod.

Though she wasn't able to roam around the city, Valerie said she found the place nice and she's happy to be back in the province after four years. "I've been to La Carlota City about four years ago. We played volleyball games there for a cause. That was my last time to visit Negros before this one."

Also, Valerie said she wants to go back to school but her busy schedule and her showbiz commitments wouldn't allow her.

Valerie also shared her interest in getting into cooking course. "I'm looking forward to go into cooking course because I really want to learn how to cook. I'm dreaming of owning a restaurant one day".

Though she's busy with her acting and hosting career, Valerie said she always take time taking care of her lovely four-year-old daughter Heather Fiona. "She's the biggest reason why I work hard. And besides, I'm the breadwinner in the family and I want my younger brother to go to school so I always work with the highest level of my energy."

Valerie said her daughter's father, whom she refused to name, actually proposed marriage to her upon finding out that she's pregnant. "He proposed but I refused because I was just 16 years old then. After I refused his offer, he never showed up until now".

Valerie thanked Negrenses and Bacolodnons for the nice welcome she received from the crowd of spectators who patiently waited for her at the mall's event center. (Jerson O. Coronica)
