| Valerie on a rollAuthor: Deni Rose M. Afinidad There is no stopping Valerie Concepcion from climbing up the slope to stardom. The young actress recently made her runway debut at the opening of the Philippine Fashion Week, modeling one of Frederick Peraltas silver anniversary creations alongside fairly established stars, like Agot Isidro, Angel Aquino, Wilma Doesnt, Assunta de Rossi, Mariel Rodriguez and Joyce Jimenez. Yet, being a fashion model is just one of the many hats Valerie has to don. Recently, the young mom celebrated her daughter Fionas fourth birthday and likewise graced the pilot episode of ABS-CBNs newest gag show, Banana Split, where she is a pioneer member of the cast together with Cristine Reyes, Angelica Panganiban, Roxanne Guinoo and RR Enriquez, and newcomers Princess Ryan and Dianne Medina. Apart from motherhood and TV shows, Valerie is busy finding a new house for her family. I want something with three to four bedrooms, attic and a spacious closet for my clothes, shoes and other thingamajigs. Hopefully, I can see one near ABS-CBN because now, I live in an apartment in Tayuman, Manila, where I have been living since birth, she shares. Although bombarded with a slew of projects and scores of controversies, including her recent rumored link with Wowowee co-host Willie Revillame and her being endlessly compared to co-management star Angel Locsin, Valerie still manages to keep a thousand-watt smile, a waist-bait body and a seemingly bottomless stream of energy. My secret? Energo energy drink. Its perfect for me because it helps me with my everyday energy needs, she says. More than just being an energy booster and the latest in Valeries train of endorsements, Energo is also part of the actress advocacy for wellness and for buying Filipino products. Energo is manufactured by Aldritz Corporation, a 100-percent Filipino-owned business. Energo increases my performance and reaction speed and improves my alertness and concentration, which I really need since I always have to be alert in making adlibs in my lines for Wowowee or Banana Split. It also helps me fight stress especially for those times I have to stay longer for my evening sitcom, adds Valerie. Nonetheless, Energo is but a supplement to the real power that makes the young actress to keep on moving. My love for my daughter is my real strength, she enthuses. Source: Manila Standard Today |
