| Vhong: Career first before love life![]() Author: (Jill Beltran/Sunnex) ACTOR-Comedian Vhong Navarro recently admitted that he already ended his affair with actress Desiree del Valle. Vhong and Desiree have been keeping their relationship private but the actor, in a recent interview, could not deny his disappointment over the split up. Vhong Navarro prioritizes career over love life. (Jill Beltran) "We are still friends. Okay kami at yung communication namin, nagtatatawagan pa rin paminsan-minsan (We are okay and we still call each other sometimes)," the actor said. "Recently, medyo hindi maganda ang nangyari sa family niya. Namatay yung daddy niya. Kami ang magkausap. Pero hanggang ganun nalang yun. (Recently, something bad happened in her family. Her father died. We talked about it. But that was it)," he added. Vhong disclosed that one of the reasons their affair did not work was lack of time. "Sabihin nalang natin na sobrang busy siya ngayon. Magconcentrate muna kami sa mga priorities namin. (She is so busy now. We should concentrate on our priorities.)" He also said their breakup was somehow affected by his pending annulment case against former wife Bianca Lapus. "Medyo malapit na dun. Kung sakaling matapos ito hindi ko din pwedeng sabihin. Naaawa ako sa anak ko at siyempre may kinakasama na si Bianca. (The reason was close to that. And if ever this case ended, I still cannot say something about it. I feel bad for my son and we all know that Bianca has new partner already)." The actor said their decision to break up was mutual. Back to the single life, Vhong said he finds happiness with his friends. "Lagi kong kasama yung kanto boys, basketball, bonding, (I always spend time with Kanto Boys -- basketball, bonding)" he said. He added that he will give priority to his career first than to look for new love. "I want to focus on my career first because opportunities come once in a lifetime. Yung pag-ibig naman hindi naman hinahanap yan...kusa lang dumating yan. (You don't look for love, it comes unexpectedly.)" Future projects Vhong revealed that she will be doing a movie with Angelica Panganiban next year. He said it is a good opportunity for him to be paired with different leading ladies. "Magkasama kami sa Asap. Nakikita ko na may other side siya na makulit may timing sa pagpapatawa. Masarap siguro siya na maka-eksena, na makasama off cam. (We work together in ASAP, that's where I see her other side. She has timing in cracking jokes. I think working with her on- and off-cam would be fun.) Vhong said it is time for him to be paired with other Kapamilya stars aside from perennial leading lady Toni Gonzaga. "Sobrang gusting-gusto ko yun. Si Toni, alam niya yun na magkaroon ng ibang kasama parang okay din sa kanya yun. Experiment. (I really like that. I know Toni would agree to that. Experiment)," he said. Vhong also accepted a cameo role in the launching movie of Eugene Domingo entitled "Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kyeme," which will hit theater sometime September. He will be playing a waiter in the film. He disclosed that he is a big fan of Eugene and working with the actress excites him. He is also one of the friends of director Joyce Bernal who is the director of "Kimmy Dora." "This is a proof that there is no war between Kapamilya and Kapuso artists. We all work together in this film," he ended. Source: Sunstar Daily |
