WILL presidentiable Mar Roxas have his teenage son, Paolo, for his best man, at his wedding to TV host cum news ANChor Korina SANChez this year?

Yes, the Roxas-SANChez wedding this year is reportedly almost a done deal, as Korina had already announced in Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda’s showbiz talk program, "Showbiz News Ngayon" (SNN), her choice for couturier-designer who will do her wedding gown and the gowns of her entourage; the chef (Gaita Fores, Senator Mar’s first cousin) who will plan the food at the reception and the wedding coordinator, who will help her with the preparation.

She and Senator Mar have already a list of sponsors. They have chosen not to announce it yet, though. They hope and are praying that former President Cory Aquino would be up and about by then, as they mutually want her to be one of their ninang.

Baby James, Kris Aquino and James Yap’s two-year-old son, as Korina had promised Kris, will be the ring bearer.

Going back to Paolo, we heard that his mom is a former beauty queen.

In the case of TV host Pia Guanio and host-comedian Vic Sotto, a wedding, it seems, is reportedly not yet in their plans this year.

As Vic said in a recent interview, "Darating. Darating ‘yan."

Pia agreed: "You can’t rush marriage."

In the meantime, how true is the report that Pia is having her own house constructed in a plush subdivision? It was reportedly Pia’s dad who encouraged her to invest her money in a house instead of just keeping it in a bank.

By the way, here’s something to talk about Pia and Vic.

Remember Christine Jacob with whom Vic had a much-publicized romantic relationship?

Well, Christine’s brother used to be the boyfriend of Pia before Vic.

Christine, as we all know, is now happily married to Paco Sandejas. They have four beautiful children.

They live in Ayala Alabang, where Vic also happens to own a house.

Christine, who is no longer active in showbiz but occasionally is still seen in TV ads, and actress Agot Isidro, who to date is still child-less, are sisters-in-law.

Agot’s husband, Manu, is the younger brother of Paco.

They would have been neigHBOrs in Ayala, Alabang, had not Agot and Manu chosen to stay in Agot’s house in Quezon City, as it is closer to their place of work.

Manu, who was in advertising before marrying Agot, is now with ABS-CBN, too.

Agot and Manu had their house in Ayala Alabang rented out.

Has Edu Manzano changed his mind about his plan to marry girlfriend of nearly three years, TV host and ANChor, Pinky Webb, this year?

He sounded certain when he announced in "TV Patrol" last January that he was going to marry Pinky, well, this year.

We no longer hear Edu talk about the wedding, do we?

So what gives, Edu?

Wednesday this week, July 15, "Probe Profiles," hosted by Cheche Lazaro, features well-known and most-admired healing priest, Fr. Joey Faller.

He makes the blind see, the lame walk, the bedridden stand up, said Cheche. Yet he is not the Lord, she cautioned her viewers. But for his thousand of followers, Cheche is quick to add, Fr. Faller might as well be.

No wonder that in "Probe Profiles," Cheche has chosen to feature Fr. Faller as a man who may be a healer but is himself wounded and humanly weak.

Cheche was able to trek the 300 step-grotto of Fr. Faller’s Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban, Quezon. Other blessed features familiar to Catholics make up the five-hectare community, which is where Fr. Faller and those working with him, dwell.

For this feature, Cheche, engages Fr. Faller in a no-holds-barred interview about his life as a healing priest, the source of his power, the temptations he has failed to resist and the cross he now bears.

"Probe Profiles" is replayed Fridays at 3 a.m. and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. on the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC Skycable Channel 27).
