What's between Alfred and lady politician?

Alfred Vargas has yet to get his wish of hosting a reality show as he is one hunk who can talk and not just show off his handsome features.

The trouble with Alfred, an observer says, is that he never complains.

A lot of people are also wondering whether Alfred has political plans as he is often seen in The Company of a female politician. IT'S STILL REGINE FOR OGIE

WHEN Ogie Alcasid first appeared at the presscon of Desperadas 2, the comedian came in drag and what an impact it created. Natalbugan niya sina Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis put together in the Billy Wilder's hilarious comedy Some Like It Hot with the late Marilyn Monroe. We failed to witness Ogie's transformation and Regal publicist Noel Ferrer knows the reason.

For the final presscon of Desperada 2, Ogie came as himself and nevertheless his funny and witty remarks about his role in the movie as well as his kissing scene with newcomer Carlo Guevarra started the ball rolling.

Ogie is the fifth and exotic desperada hoping to bond with his four fabulous sisters consistently portrayed by Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto , Iza Calzado and Marian Rivera and find true happiness as well. Specifically, happiness is finding the right man. In Ogie's case, he found it the arms of Carlo Guevarra.

The trailer of Desperadas 2 shows Ogie and Carlo kissing and rolling on the sand reminiscent of that classic scene of Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in From Here to Eternity.

So how was it paying lip service to another man?

"It is all in a day's work. Trabaho lang and we did it for fun. Ang mahirap lang ay ang magpagulong gulong sa buhangin dahil nagbubungguan ang aming mga. ... puso," says Ogie who can be naughty but not offensive.

Carlo has the same thing to say and he adds, "Nag-usap kami ni Kuya Ogie tungkol sa eksena on how to handle the scene properly ayon sa kagustuhan ng aming direktor na si Joel Lamangan. Wala namang naging problema dahil napaka-propesyonal ni Kuya Ogie. I look at him as my idol. "

Ogie was asked who among the four sexy women would he lay his eyes on if he were still single?

"Si Regine pa rin dahil di ako tumitingin sa iba. .. . pag Monday lang," he joked.

The December filmfest is loaded with comedy entries like Iskul Bukol and Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat. The competition is stiff this year.

"That is true and it will be a tough fight. Mabigat na kalaban si AiAi at ganoon din sina TVJ who are making a comeback after 20 years. We are confident however na may laban ang Desperadas 2 since it turned out to be the surprise hit last year during the festival. Sila ang tinanghal na topgrosser. It is a sex comedy and we offer adult humor," he said.

When told that his role is "lutang na lutang" which makes him more of a scene stealer (without trying) Ogie humbly remarks, "The film has many highlights. All the four gorgeous ladies na puro mga kaibigan kong lahat ay may kanya-kanyang highlight. I have my own too pero sa aming lahat nakasentro ang istorya. "

"Desperadas 2" boasts of a narrative that people can idendtify with. Although laden with a lot of situations involving women, the movie also appeals to the men who love them. The cast includes certified hunks and popular artists like Wendell Ramos, Jay R, TJ Trinidad, Will Devaughn, Christian Vasquez and Carlo Guevarra. All of them contribute to the merry mix of fun and laughter in this very beautiful movie that is Desperadas 2.
WHAT NOW, RICO AND JAKE?

ADD the names of Rico Barrera and Jake Cuenca to the list of Star Magic's December birthday celebrants.

Rico may not be very visible on television because he divides his time managing his own jewelry business and appearing on indie movies and modelling. He has appeared as product endorser of Greenwich and Mountain Dew. He was last seen in Gulong ng Palad.

Born on December 29, Rico hopes to put up a restaurant of his own.

Meanwhile, Jake was once dubbed as a controversial actor and one of the busiest since he transferred to ABS CBN. After appearing in "Palos" with Cesar Montano, he will be seen in two follow-up projects, "Tayong Dalawa" and "Dragonna. " In the former, Jake forms a triangle love story with Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

Jake will turn 21 on December 30.
