When will Maricar Reyes come out?

AT the launching of John Lloyd Cruz as endorser of Biogesic for Kids, the first question asked to him is about his lovelife. Is it true he and Liz Uy have broken up?

"Its a very sensitive issue and I want to be a gentleman about it so nakikiusap ako na huwag muna natin pag-usapan ito," he says. "Please give me time to resolve some things at darating din ang time na I will give you a more straight answer. Huwag muna ngayon."

Obviously, there is a problem, because if everythings well between them, itd been so easy for John Lloyd to say that "were still okay." He looks so uncomfortable about it so, since he just came back from New York shooting "In My Life" with Vilma Santos. We asked him how is it working with Ate Vi?

"We worked together for three weeks. Youll just sit down to watch her act. Shes very supportive, always giving, she respects your intelligence, ability and craftmanship as an actor. Ang sarap kasama sa eksena." Will he be making another movie with Sarah Geronimo?

"I heard we will do a part three of our movie but its impossible to make it this year as were both busy with other projects. Itong In My Life, 50% pa lang ang nakukunan so marami pang scenes na isu-shoot dito. Then Ill have a new teleserye rawwith Angel Locsin, after her Only You, so matagal pa rin yun. Pero nahihiya ako kay Sarah kasi siya ang itinuturo na reason daw about me and Liz, which is not true at all."

So how does it feel endorsing Biogesic for Kids?

"I feel pabata ako ng pabata. Three years na ko sa Biogesic, a brand very dear to me kasi it started a string of many other endorsements for me. Everywhere I go now, people tell me Ingat, and imagine, now, ang for Kids na nila ang ine-endorse ko for pain and fever relief. It means effective ang campaign ko for them."

He started at ABS-CBN as member of Star Circle Batch 5 in 1997 when he was only 14. Now, at 26, isnt he ready to start his own family soon? "Puede na akong mag-asawa. But its a choice, and my choice at this point in my life is to prioritize my career as I believe I can still contribute a lot of things in this business."

How come hes being linked to Ruffa Gutierrez?

"I really dont know. The last time I saw her was in Betty La Fea and I wasnt even able to attend our cast party when it ended. We shared a hotel room pa raw. Walang ganun. We went out once but marami kaming kasama from the Betty La Fea, like Vhong Navarro, Meryll Soriano, Joem Bascon, pati production staff. Nagtataka nga kami why were singled out. Basta its not true."

A lot of people are wondering as to when model-doctor-actress Maricar Reyes will come out and denounce Hayden Kho for their sex video, but were told she has no plans at all of showing up in public. She was absent at the Senate investigation and attempts of ABS-CBN news teams to interview her were all rejected. Her family is very protective of her and no less than her brothers act as her bodyguards when she goes to ABS.

Maricar continues to tape for "Lovers in Paris" where she plays KC Concepcions best friend. About KC, some folks say shes also a victim of Hayden. Its said while she was dressing up somewhere, Hayden secretly videotaped her in his cellphone and this is now being circulated, making Sharon Cuneta very, very mad when she heard that her daughter is being dragged into the scandal. We just hope that this is not true at all.

Is she or isnt she? Were already confused as to whats the real score about Yasmien Kurdi and Baron Geisler. Earlier, she said she wont sue him anymore and she just wants the harassment he did to her on the set of "Suspetsa" to be recorded on the police blotter. Later, her lawyer Ferdinand Topacio had himself interviewed on TV saying this is not true and Yasmien will go on filing the case. The lawyer even said that GMA7 is pressuring Yasmien to have an amicable settlement with Baron so he wrote a letter to GMA execs Marivin Arayata and Lilibeth Rasonable that they wont withdraw their complaint against Baron and he requested GMA not to interfere in the case. Then director Maryo de los Reyes, Barons manager, said at the Star Awards last Thursday that everything is now okay between his ward and Yasmien as theyve already talked on the phone, with him making the arrangement between the two. But Yasmien is now saying that shes still filing a case against Baron, despite efforts to patch things up between them.

At the taping of "Suspetsa," its said that Yasmien finished all her scenes first before Baron was called to come to the set. The staff said they made sure they wont see each other, "para hindi na lumala pa ang gulo." Then they finished all of Barons scenes for the show so he did not need to come back to the set. At the Star Awards, Baron also told reporters that as far as hes concerned, he and Yasmien have settled things between themselves and theyre now okay. But now, Yasmien says shes returned to the Women and Childrens Office at the PNP Camp Crame to further pursue her complaint. So, ano ba talaga?

Richard Gutierrez said at the mass his family hosted at Christ the King Green Meadows that the nightmare that happened to him at the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road on May 22 continues to haunt him. He himself was driving his Nissan GTR sports car coming from the shoot of the cinema plug for his next project, a remake of the hit Koreanovela "Full House" with him doing the role popularized by Rain. "I remember the accident dahil the whole time, conscious ako. I cant control the car and I kept on praying na sana, it will stop na. It was a very scary moment. Alam moyoure all in danger. I saw everything, parang slow motion, pati yung I got off the car through the window and asked for help sa kalsada at dumating ang mga kasamahan namin sa GMA-7. Everything is clear in my mind. I was looking for Nomar (Pardo, his personal assistant). Sigaw ako nang sigaw, mga five minutes yun, but I couldnt find him. George (Mascora, his bodyguard) also got out through the window and helped me. I was looking for Nomar kasi right after the accident, I asked George, okay ka lang? And he said yes. Then I said, Ikaw, Mar? but there was no answer. He wasnt there. He was just right behind me and now hes not there. So I was shocked and started looking for him.

"Up to now, when Im by myself naiisip ko pa rin ang lahat. Nagpa-flashback. I guess talagang nangyayari ang ganung aksidente. Its the Lords will and Im just thankful to him that I survived it. Milagro talaga kapag nakita mo how badly wrecked the car is. This is my second life. I have difficulty accepting that Nomar is gone. Were together almost everyday sa shoots ko. Hes like a brother to me at bata pa ako, kasama na namin siya sa bahay. But my family and friends help me a lot to lift up my spirits so I can move one. Doon ko nakita the importance of having a supportive family.

"I keep on praying for Nomar. I really miss him kasi maasikaso siya at lagi siyang nandiyan. At first, I kept on asking: why did it have to happen? I was full of negative thoughts, but I have to be strong and prayers help me a lot. I might be okay physically, but emotionally and spiritually, I still feel a bit down. Siguro nga, may purpose pa ko dito sa mundo thats why God saved me. I promised Nomars wife, Lorraine, that I will help her raise their two sons na five and three years old lang. Im sure Nomar is in heaven."

Richard went back to the taping of his hit action-thriller, "Zorro," in Bataan yesterday. "Zorro" is missing in the last few episodes but the show remains very thrilling. Ramon (TJ Trinidad) is furious when he learned that the friends of Antonio (Richard) escaped from prison, Bernardo (Antonio Aquitania) and Juana (Michelle Madrigal) with the help of the rebel Agustin (Bodie Cruz). As the guards chase Agustin and the other rebels, Bernardo and Juana come along with Agustins mom, Nana Maria (Sandy Andolong), and they see how Ramon shoots Agustin on the chest. They want to help Agustin but their lives will also be in danger so they had to leave him.

Meantime, a mysterious box arrives and in it is the mask of Zorro. Does this mean that Zorro is now about to make his presence felt again?

Late night TV host Jojo Alejars entertaining talk show is back on the air on TV5 starting last night. As a comedian-host, some people say Jojo is the David Letterman of local TV as he offers a complete package of fun, information, satire and music in "Jojo A. All the Way."

Everyday news and issues are presented in a light and entertaining way, no matter serious they may be. In its pilot episode, Jojos special guest was hunky matinee idol Dingdong Dantes who let his hair down as Jojo interviews him.

"Jojo A. All The Way" is the best way to end your day, airing Monday to Friday at 12 midnight on TV 5.
