HAS Erik Santos seen the alleged sex video of his ex-girlfriend Rufa Mae Quinto with Hayden Kho?

"No, I haven’t," he says. "Pero tinanong ko na siya and she told me hindi siya ‘yun, so I believe her. Wala rin akongintention to see it at all."

He just got back from L.A. where he recorded songs for his new Star Records album produced by singer-composer Jim Brickman. Entitled "Erik Santos: The Jim Brickman Song Album," it has seven revivals and three original songs, all by Brickman. How is it working with him?

"Siempre, on our first day of recording doon mismo sa studio niya, excited ako as I used to sing his songs when I was a students sa school events. But also, kabado rin ako baka I might not please him, but he made me feel comfortable and we even shot the pictorial for the album and the music video for two of his songs, ‘If You Just Believe’ and ‘Valentine.’ He lives near Beverly Hills and his home is full of memorabilia about his career. He’s really so nice and I had a great time working with him. Later, he said: ‘I like Erik’s raspy voice and sensitivity for music. He’s unique in that once you hear him singing, you’ll know it’s him.’ Siempre, I was flattered and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity of working with him. Another original song of his that I enjoyed is ‘My Love is Here for You.’ Kasama naman sa revivals ang‘The Gift,’ ‘Angel Eyes,’ and ‘Simple Things.’"

Erik has been in showbiz for six years. "This is also my 6th album and I want to thank Star Records for their support kasi every year, talagang may new album ako."

He’s going back to school next week. "I’m graduating from my B.S. Pscyhology course at Centro Escolar. I used to take up dentistry pero hindi kaya ng schedule ko, so I shifted to psychology at matatapos na rin ako sa tiyaga with 15 units each sem. No matter how successful you are, para kasing kulang kung wala kang college degree."

Cristine Reyes says she really wants to return to GMA-7 where she started and worked for five years. "I miss my friends there," she adds. "Mas marami akong naging friends doon kaysa sa ABS. But it’s not true that I don’t report sa ‘Banana Split’ as I don’t like the people there. Na-oral surgery ako when three of my molars were extracted kaya hindi muna ako makapagtrabaho at ipinaalam ko ‘yun kay DirekBobot Mortiz. Okay kami nina Angelica Panganiban, RR Enriquez and my other co-stars there. Although we’re not really close, wala akong sinumang nakakaaway sa kanila. Hindi rin totoong sinisiraan ko si Jake Cuenca at sinasabi kong may bad breath siya after we worked in ‘Bud Brothers.’ We’re not the best of friends but I’m willing to work with him again dahil okay naman siyang katrabaho. I’ll always be thankful to ABS for helping my career, lalo na with ‘Eva Fonda,’ kaya lang, dumarating sa buhay natin that we have to make a decision about things na mas nagpapasaya sa atin. Let’s face it, sa GMA ako nagsimula, dun ako nagdalaga.Tapos na rin naman ang contract ko with ABS noon pang May 31."

And it’s Dennis Trillo who’s in GMA that makes her happy?

"No. I swear wala na kaming relasyon. Ewan ko nga ba’t patuloy kaming nali-link. Actually, hindi kami okay and I haven’t even talked to him for sometime. Doon naman sa nagsasabing aagawin ko ang puwesto ni Katrina as GMA’s top sexy star, wala akong ganung intention. She’s my friend so I sympathize with her totally, which is the reason why I didn’t participate when they spoofed the video scandal in ‘Banana Split.’ I don’t want Kat or Dr. Vicki Belo to say na kasama ko kapag pinaglalaruan sila’t ginagawa silang katatawanan ganung what happened to them is not funny at all."

The latest story we heard, though, is that ABS-CBN is not allowing her to go back to GMA as they have the option to renew her contract. Some readers are commenting that "hindi na siya nasiyahan o nakontento."

Kris Aquino launched an album with son Baby James for Star Records: "Kris and Baby James: We Are 1." "This contains two discs with songs and music intended from the time a prospective mom confirms na positiveang pregnancy test niya," says Kris. "A baby who listens to music kahit inside your womb pa, mas tataas ang IQ. The album will guide you all the way, from zero to six months, hanggang nagbe-breastfeedingka na, your baby takes his first steps and up to his 24th month where we teach colors, the alphabet and parts of the body. We consulted a lot of experts about the music and songs to be included here. Some are original songs, like the one for bathing the baby and for eating, ‘Maligo Na’ and ‘Kumain Na.’ We also have traditional kiddie songs like ‘Rubber Duckie,’ ‘Humpty Dumpty,’ ‘Tong Tong Tong Pakitong Kitong,’ and other songs about learning and values formation."

How is this different from Sharon Cuneta’s recent album for kids?

"I’m not a singer naman so you won’t buy this for the songs alone but for the educational value. I see no competition whatsoever with Sharon dahil magkaiba ang produkto namin. For this album, we got other singers like Piolo Pascual singing ‘Thank God I Found You’ and Gary V. for ‘You Are the Love of My Life.’"

How is her mom, former Pres. Cory?

"She just had internal radiation therapy and for ten days, we can’t come near her kasi she emits radiation," she says. "But one thing with my mom, she never complains na ‘Ayoko na. Pagod na ako.’ I take the early morning shift in taking care of her, until 2 p.m., then I go to work. Saturdays, wala akong work so I devote all of it to my mom. Then after ‘The Buzz,’ we eat dinner together as a family."

How does Josh regard Baby James?

"At first, he told me, Mama, ibalik mo na siya sa tummy mo. But being a Kuya really helped him become more mature. He learned how to share with his brother. As you know, Josh has special needs. He was two when he was diagnosed to have ADHD and his speech was delayed, so we need to get the right programs for him to develop. He has a speech therapist, an occupational therapist and he undergoes tutorials. Ang laki na ng improvement niya. He now stands 6’1," but weighs 275 lbs. Doctors say si Baby James naman will also be tall like his dad, 6’3" or 6’4." Okay lang sa’kin for him to get into showbiz." Both her sons were afflicted with dengue fever but she’s glad they’re now both on their way to recovery.

There must be something in Krissa Mae Arietta that guys find irresistible. She first came into public consciousness when she did "Gagambino" with Polo Ravales which led to the breakup of Polo with Jean Garcia. Recently, it was rumored that Diether Ocampo was also smitten with her even if it’s common knowledge that he’s already going steady with a non-showbiz girl named Reema. The latest about Krissa Mae is that she’s the new apple of the eyes of Jay R and the reason why he broke up with his non-showbiz girlfriend of seven years named Liza. It will be recalled that Jay R underwent a horrible experience with Liza last Christmas season when Liza’s sister was ran over by a train while they were hiking in a tunnel in California. We just don’t know it the trauma of that shared experience contributed to the dissolution of their relationship or if it ended because Krissa Mae entered the picture.

"Naku, ang haba-haba naman ng hair ng Krissa Mae na ‘yan," comments one writer. "E, ni wala nga siya kahit na isang bagong show sa GMA, ano?"

We’re happy to see Ted Failon back as anchor of "TV Patrol World">TV Patrol World" last Monday after being gone for two months. He was formally welcomed by colleagues Julius Babao and Karen Davila. Earlier that day, he also went back to his radio program on DZMM where he recalled the events that followed after his wife was seen wounded in their toilet, taken to the hospital and later expired. The NBI has declared that it’s a case of suicide, something that most people already knew. Ted said he regrets that he didn’t spend more time with his wife of 25 years and he’s really missing her now. He thanked all those who supported him as someone made of lesser stuff could have ended up in the mental hospital. His partner in the radio show, Korina Sanchez, who’s also in the news because of her coming wedding to Sen. Mar Roxas, is currently in Japan and called on the phone to greet him. She said she wanted to be with him for a week when he returned but ABS-CBN regulations forbid this.
