Willie, David Foster team up

MANILA - Legendary American composer David Foster will make a special appearance on "Wowowee" next year, host Willie Revillame announced Monday.

"Sobrang napakamahal niya ang mga Filipino. Sana suportahan natin si David Foster dahil pupunta siya dito sa 'Wowowee' hopefully by next year," said Revillame, who returned to his show Monday after going on indefinite leave for more than a month.

Revillame met Foster when he was in the United States for a series of "Wowowee" shows there. According to the host, he was present during the taping of Foster's Christmas special where Charice will be one of the guests.

He said Foster introduced him to the audience as the "Oprah of the Philippines." Oprah Winfrey is considered to be one of the world's most influential people.

"Kumaway ako, nakakatuwa, nakakakilabot, nakakaluha... Si Charice pinakanta niya noong nag-break siya... standing ovation ang mga Amerikano," he narrated.

He said he also met "the very nice" Italian operatic tenor Andrea Bocelli.

"Magkasama pa kami sa hotel. Nag-stay ako sa [The Peninsula Beverly Hills]. Naka-suite ako. Iyong kabilang suite si Andrea Bocelli. Sa susunod na kwarto si David Foster. Sa susunod na kwarto si Shakira," he said.

Revillame added that he had a one-on-one interview with Foster. It will be aired probably on Saturday.

"Magkakaroon kami ng show hopefully by next year. Sana matuloy po iyon. Sa abroad at dito. Sana makasama si Lea Salonga, apl.de.ap... Bilib na bilib siya sa mga Filipino. Si Charice siyempre [at] kasama si Arnel Pineda," he bared.
